The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, October 17, 2023, brings Audra leaving Kyle stunned with her unexpected job offer.

Young and the Restless: A Job Offer
In her suite, Kyle (Michael Mealor) and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) had sex. Afterward, she asked him why they had ever stopped, and he reminded her she had fired him.
Audra had a proposition for Kyle that she suspected he’d initially say no to. Before making it, she asked if he had convinced his father to give him Billy’s job. Angrily, Kyle admitted he hadn’t. Kyle thought his dad felt he didn’t have what it takes. He felt pushed out of the Abbott family, but her interest piqued his curiosity.

After some more adult time, Audra explained she might be able to offer him a position at Jabot. Not surprisingly, that confused Kyle. She offered him the job he wanted and told him his family only owned the company for now. Audra wanted him to join her alliance with Tucker because she believed Tucker would get his hands on the company.
Kyle wondered if Audra was playing him, but she urged him to hear her out and admitted that Tucker offered her the top job. That meant they could run Jabot together. Of course, Kyle said he wouldn’t betray his parents, but Audra reminded him that he didn’t owe them.
As they dressed, Kyle asked why she thought he wouldn’t tell his father about Tucker’s plans. Audra felt sure that he’d realize this made sense, and she challenged him to think of himself rather than accept crumbs from his family. Of course, he worried the whole thing would blow up his family, but Audra told Kyle they could keep the family dynasty alive. However, Kyle pointed out Audra wasn’t exactly family, but that didn’t matter to Audra.
Young and the Restless Recap: Advantage
Billy (Jason Thompson) arrived at the Abbott mansion, and Jack (Peter Bergman) told him that Tucker’s Bonsai had a listening device. Years ago, their sister had tried the same trick. This time, though, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) tipped off Jack, which aroused Billy’s suspicions. Jack understood, but the information was still usable.

Billy still wasn’t entirely convinced, and he wondered what Tucker was holding over Phyllis. As far as Jack was concerned, as long as the information benefited them, her motivations didn’t matter. Ultimately, Phyllis wanted to make things right with her kids, which was in their favor in this situation since Tucker didn’t realize they knew about the listening device. Billy felt Tucker would see through them using it as misdirection. Instead, he wanted to release the dirty details they had on Tucker.
Kyle rushed in, and Jack wondered what was wrong.
Y&R Recap: Upper Hand
Phyllis joined Summer (Allison Lanier) and Daniel (Michael Graziadei) for dinner at Society. She felt happy they could all act normal. Daniel reminded her they had given her a clean start. Phyllis talked about her new job, but Daniel told his mom that the real test would be things going well for more than one day, and she promised she wouldn’t let him down.
Tucker (Trevor St. John) walked in and went over to say how radiant Phyllis looked before heading to the bar. Summer wondered what was going on between them. Phyllis played it off, saying Tucker liked making people uncomfortable.
Tucker glared at Phyllis, so Daniel went over to have a word. Tucker insisted that he was jealous to see how beautiful they looked as a family. It made him wonder if he should be more forgiving of Ashley. Daniel suggested he jump on a plane and find out. Tucker offered to pay their dinner tab.
Later, Phyllis met Tucker in his suite. He figured she’d decided to fall in line with his plans. However, Phyllis revealed she held all the cards. She did a deep dive and found out about his connection to Mamie. She knew they were silent partners. Phyllis felt sure this put her in the driver’s seat, and she wondered how they should proceed.
