The Young and the Restless recaps for October 24 – October 28, 2022, feature fractured family units, pink slips galore, some truths outing, and more.
Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) discuss the former’s endgame: gain control of Chancellor-Winters and run it alongside Devon Hamilton (Bryton James)…Devon relays to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) Nate Hastings’s (Sean Dominic) opinion that his inability to delegate is due to unresolved issues stemming from Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) death; Lily suggests that Devon entertain the idea; Devon reiterates that he’s against taking the company public. Later, Devon invites Tucker to the Glam Club in an effort to suss out whether or not he was Nate’s co-conspirator.
Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor’s (Melissa Ordway) date night is marred by Tucker’s presence and a row between Devon and Nate…Audra warns Lily to trust no one, then attempts to persuade her to pursue the IPO.
Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) informs Tucker that she preemptively coped to their prior association in L.A., the role he played in locating Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang), and his demand that she reports on Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) comings and goings; Tucker is furious… Jack updates Ashley on much the same. Ashley admits that she still intends to pump Tucker for information; to that end, she arranges a rendezvous at Society.
Chance is forced to abandon their date, much to Abby’s dismay; Devon keeps her company, and the two discuss Devon and Nate’s estrangement and the idea that Devon is letting might-have-beens dictate how he runs his company. A returning Chance is put out by pairs closeness.
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) issues an executive order: Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) are out as Newman Media CEO and COO, respectively. A chagrined Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) insists on being the one who apprises Sally. Victoria offers Nate the vacant position.
Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) depression worsens; Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) grows increasingly concerned…Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) advises Nate to make things right with his kin; Lily resents his interference…Nate and Devon’s attempt at rapprochement is hampered by Nate’s unwillingness to divulge the identity of his cohort.
Nicholas relieves Sally of her duties at Newman Media…Victoria blabs to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) that Nicholas and Sally are personally involved…Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) needless needles Sally, who refuses to engage…Chelsea and Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) have an awkward cross. Victoria puts Chelsea on notice: she is not to approach Johnny again, let alone interact with him in any capacity.
Lily stuns Devon with an update: Billy is stepping down as her COO. Devon shares that he and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) have become estranged…Chance is called to a stakeout hampering his and Abby’s Halloween plans…Johnny and Conner come to peace with recent events; cousins or brothers, it doesn’t matter as long as they continue their friendship…A distraught Chelsea takes to the roof of The Grand Phoenix, intending to jump.
