The Young and the Restless recap brings second thoughts for Phyllis, which leads to Jeremy Stark threatening her life.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) realized what Victoria and Nate had been up to. Summer tries to convince Kyle that Diane is guilty, while Jack tries to get a favor from Christine. Tessa and Mariah introduce Aria to Sharon, Elena, Sally, and Adam. The latter two get excited about their future as parents. Now let’s dig deeper into what happened.
Nate (Sean Dominic) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) continued making out on her desk.
At the Abbott mansion, Nick was Summer’s (Allison Lanier) rock as she waited to hear from Kyle (Michael Mealor). Summer lamented Diane (Susan Walters) being Kyle’s priority, and Kyle walked in, letting her know that wasn’t true.
Summer was shocked to see her husband, and he updated her on what had happened at the police station. Nick tried to stay neutral, and he left to give Kyle and Summer time to rest. Kyle asked Summer how she was doing, and they recapped the memorial a bit. He declared that Phyllis would’ve loved the service. Summer thanked Kyle for standing by her and being a supportive partner.

She brought up Diane’s arrest, and Kyle talked about how awful it was since his mom wasn’t a murderer. Summer wondered if Kyle really still thought that…even now. Kyle insisted that Diane was innocent, but Summer said that she believed Diane was involved with Jeremy. He thinks Jeremy framed his mom, while Summer declared that she believed Diane was the reason her mom was dead.
She reminded Kyle of their history and how Diane had tried to set up Phyllis for murder. Kyle admitted that had happened, but he insisted his mom had changed. Summer insisted just as much that Diane had snapped. She laid it all out and insisted that Kyle open his eyes. Kyle swore that Diane didn’t kill Phyllis, and he asked Summer just to let the whole thing play out. She agreed to protect Harrison from the news.
Nick walked into Newman Enterprises and saw Audra (Zuleyka Silver). She offered her condolences and let Nick know that Victoria was in her office. Nick had to stop by his office first, but he planned to return to talk to his sister.
Later, Nick knocked on the door to Victoria’s office, and she and Nate quickly put their clothes back on. Victoria opened the door, and she offered her brother a drink. Nate offered his condolences, and he left. Victoria asked her brother how the memorial service was, but Nick didn’t want to talk about that.
“What are you thinking?” he asked. Victoria denied knowing what he meant, but Nick called her out about what happened between her and Nate. Ultimately, Victoria admitted what happened, and she wondered why Nick was worried about what she was doing, considering what was going on with the rest of his family.
Nick wondered if Nate had some ulterior motive, but Victoria denied it. She said she’d know if Nate was up to something, but Nick threw Ashland in her face. Ultimately, Victoria wasn’t interested in his judgment. She asked her brother to keep her private life private the same way she had about his and Sally’s relationship. She dismissed Nick, and he gathered up files from the floor, tossed them on the desk, and told Victoria to brush her hair.
At Crimson Lights, Sharon (Sharon Case) excitedly welcomed Mariah (Camryn Grimes) back to Genoa City. She was so thrilled that her daughter had finally gotten to bring her little girl home. Sharon wondered where Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and the baby were, and Mariah teased her mom about where they were.
Mariah had just wanted to come in first before Tessa brought Aria inside to check out that everything was fine in the coffee shop. Tessa walked in, and they introduced Sharon to her granddaughter, Aria Porter Copeland.
Sharon held the baby, getting to know her. On the patio, Sally (Courtney Hope) looked on with a smile. Adam (Mark Grossman) walked up behind her and waxed poetic about how great babies are. He reminded Sally that soon they’d experience it for themselves, and Sally suggested they go meet the new baby.
Sally and Adam walked in, and Sharon showed Aria off. Mariah and Tessa happily allowed Sally to take a peek at the little girl, and Sally asked them how it felt. They said it was a miracle and their greatest dream come true.
Elena (Brytni Sarpy) walked in, and she was thrilled to meet Aria. She offered her congratulations, and Tessa thanked Elena for all her advice before the baby was born.
Later, Nick found Nate at the bar at Society, and he insinuated that Nate needed to get his cover story ready for his girlfriend. Nate denied it, and Nick brought up how Nate had sold out his family. He let Nate know his credibility was shot, and Nate said the message was received. Elena walked in and wondered what they were talking about.
Nate told Elena that Nick believed he was being consumed by power, and Nick said goodnight and told Elena she looked beautiful. Elena wondered what the whole thing was about.
Back at Crimson Lights, Sharon, Tessa, and Mariah continued enjoying Aria. Mariah teared up, and she admitted that she couldn’t believe the news about Phyllis dying. Sharon reminded Mariah that time goes by very fast, and she suggested that the new moms enjoy their time with Aria.
On the patio, Sally gushed over how precious the baby was, and Adam thought Sally might be falling in love with the idea of having a daughter. Sally said she’d be happy with a daughter or a son. He reminded her they’d find out soon, and they couldn’t wait to find out what they’re having.
At Society, Jack (Peter Bergman) tried to talk to Christine (Lauralee Bell) about the case against Diane, and he suggested she focus on Jeremy Stark. However, Christine wouldn’t say much, but she did let Jack know all the evidence pointed to her. He wondered if Christine truly believed Diane was capable of murder.
However, Christine let Jack know it wasn’t all that simple. He refused to believe it, though. Christine reminded him that the evidence was solid, or they wouldn’t have gotten an arrest warrant. He asked Christine to tell him what the evidence was, but she told him how inappropriate it was for him to ask. Jack apologized, but he said he was scared and upset. Christine assured him that the arrest was made on solid work.
She reminded Jack that she had to follow protocol, but he worried that the real killer was running around free. Jack suggested that Jeremy framed Diane, and she said she’d look at the loose ends. He said he respected Christine’s situation, but he told her that all Diane wanted was to reestablish her relationship with her family. He couldn’t see why Diane would jeopardize everything to get back at Phyllis.
Christine carefully told Jack that the evidence said otherwise. She warned Jack to prepare himself because there was a good chance that Diane wouldn’t get bail. Jack declared that there was no way Jeremy covered his tracks good enough, and he urged Christine to continue looking.
Jack returned home, and Kyle wondered how things went with Christine. He admitted not that great, and Kyle told Jack how hard it was with Summer. He didn’t know how he could convince his wife that his mother didn’t kill Phyllis. Kyle wondered how his marriage would survive, and Jack promised they’d clear Diane’s name. They both worried that Diane wouldn’t come home soon, and Kyle and Jack vowed to find the truth.
Back at her motel room, Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) looked at the program from her memorial and wondered what she’d done. Jeremy walked in and accused Phyllis of putting them both in danger by sticking around. He yelled at her and told her that her kids would be okay eventually. However, Phyllis said that she could take their pain away.
Jeremy reminded her they’d be mad, but she said they’d forgive her. He warned Phyllis not to think she could go back, but she said they’d forgiven Diane. Jeremy reminded Phyllis of the point — to get revenge on Diane. He reminded her she’d made a commitment, and Jeremy threatened Phyllis’s life. Phyllis insisted she wasn’t scared of Jeremy.
Summoning up all her bravado, Phyllis reminded Jeremy that she was so good at what she does that she hadn’t served time for all her crimes, but Jeremy wasn’t impressed. Jeremy grabbed Phyllis, and she said she wasn’t taking orders from him. He reminded her that she was dead, and if she tried not to be, he’d kill her.
