Christine Blair Williams had some exciting news for Tessa Porter and Mariah Copeland on The Young and the Restless: A birth mother has expressed interest in meeting them to see if the women would make good moms for her unborn baby.
Christine (Lauralee Bell) said the birth mother was impressed by the strength of their relationship. After all, they’ve been married for weeks now! But are the newlyweds ready to be parents?
They are totally ready, 46% of you have no doubts. Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) was so protective of her younger sister, Crystal (Morgan Obenreder), and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) has already kind of done the mom thing with Baby Bowie. Now that Tessa is on a break from singing, and Mariah has a job that she, like all other Genoa City kids who had their executive positions handed to them, can go to whenever she feels like it, it’s the perfect time to welcome a little bundle of joy into their lives.
What’s the rush, 41% of the audience wonders. They’ve just exchanged vows. Why not enjoy being a couple, just the two of them, for a while longer? They’re both young, and the world is full of babies nobody wants! They should really solidify their relationship before bringing in a third party. Even a cute one.
Depending on the age of the child, 13% hedge. Babies are pretty easy – they can’t talk yet. And even a toddler would be manageable, though exhausting. A teen from the foster care system would be something else entirely. Sure, Tessa and Mariah are great with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster). But she’s just a boring poor little rich girl. A child up for adoption as a teen has been through so much more. Are Mariah and Tessa really up for that level of challenge?
