Devon Hamilton is one of the younger billionaires on The Young and the Restless. He seems to have everything he wants, but there are a few things that money can’t buy, as Devon well knows.
Devon (Bryton James) seems happy with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). We know it might be somewhat strange that she looks just like his late wife, but they seem to have moved past that since Hilary isn’t appearing to Devon as she did earlier when Amanda showed up in Genoa City. Because the couple seems solid, we felt some measure of surprise when Devon didn’t seem too happy to hear that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) decided to move in together for 2022.
Even so, the way things ended with Elena still seems to be a sore spot with Devon. While he may have moved on with Amanda, it appears that he harbors feelings for Elena. But, of course, because she slept with his cousin, Nate, Devon can’t restore that destroyed trust. That’s something all his billions of dollars can’t fix.
Devon’s experiencing the same sort of situation on The Young and the Restless with his biological son, Dominic. When Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) believed Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) had died, she leaned heavily on Devon. Abby even left Dominic in Devon’s care instead of her willing family members. However, the father and son bonded during that time, and Devon got a taste of fatherhood.
It turns out, Devon immensely enjoyed being a dad and having a baby in his house. It even seemed as if Amanda appreciated it. However, these two haven’t discussed the possibility of having a child themselves. The timing appears bad for Amanda considering she’s opening a new law practice, which again shows that Devon’s money can’t buy him happiness and satisfaction with life.
We aren’t quite sure how all this will play out for the Genoa City billionaire, but we hope to see some soapy drama as Devon wrestles with his feelings regarding Elena and Dominic. Who knows? Perhaps he and Elena could end up having a child together in the end.
