Soap Hub Performer Of The Week For Y&R: Christian Le Blanc

The Young and the Restless viewers know that Michael Baldwin is in the midst of conflict over representing Diane for murdering Phyllis. However, he’s doing his best to ensure his client receives a fair trial, and this week he got some huge news about her potential innocence. For his performance, Soap Hub Performer of the Week honors for Y&R is presented to Michael’s portrayer, Christian Le Blanc.

Christian Le Blanc: Y&R Performer of the Week

This week, Michael worked with Jack (Peter Bergman) to create a plan for how to beat the charges against Diane (Susan Walters). The actor did an outstanding job portraying Michael’s legal ethics alongside his personal concerns. His tone of voice and expressions would change as he considered the different prospects, revealing his internal conflict. The legal eagle is of two minds when it comes to this situation, and Le Blanc handled it perfectly.

When Daniel (Michael Graziadei) convinced him to go to the Abbotts, Le Blanc showed off a bit of comic relief through the timing and delivery of his lines, but things quickly got serious after they arrived at the mansion. Once Michael found out that Phyllis was alive, the actor’s stern tone of voice revealed just how important the words he was saying to Jack and Kyle (Michael Mealor) were.

Le Blanc gave a fiery performance as his character rallied to impart the importance of Michael’s insistence that they keep Phyllis’s secret a bit longer. It was refreshing to see him briefly break from the legal and professional aspects and get up close and real with Daniel.

Bravo Christian Le Blanc on another amazing week of performances. We can’t wait to see how he handles Lauren (Tracey Bregman) when she finds out, or how Michael reacts to Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) when she finally returns to Genoa City.
