The Young and the Restless has a lot going on these days. There are liars, secret keepers, and schemers at every turn. There is drama, there is trauma, and there are tons of schemes. Something is missing, though. Some fan-favorite key players are slipping from the spotlight and we’d like to see these three faces back in the spotlight for some front-burner action.
The Young and the Restless: Scheme King Kevin Fisher
Sure, Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) pops up here and there but it’s not enough. It’s never enough. This character was once hailed as the next King of Soaps and poor Kevin keeps sliding to the background over and over again. Kevin deserves some action.
Is there a chance he could slip back into Chipmunk mode? Think of what fun that would be! He could go all crazy, set a few fires, maybe murder someone none of us like anyway. It would definitely add some great action!
Okay, maybe we don’t have to go that far, but just having him around would be nice — and not hearing about how he’s helping off-screen. We’re seeing quite a bit of Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) so give us husband Kevin too. We’ll even take him as a boring good guy.
Y&R: A Valentine For Esther
Speaking of people in Chloe’s life, where is her amazing mother? Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) was a Young and the Restless mainstay for decades and now she is nowhere to be found. We haven’t seen much of her since she quit her job at Crimson Lights and moved in with Chloe and Kevin.
Let’s get her back on set and give her a nice retirement storyline where the former maid becomes a lady of leisure. Give her some screen time hitting up the Grand Phoenix spa. Maybe a nice romance with an eligible elder bachelor. Esther deserves all the good things!
Young and Restless: Write Me A Love Story
Another lady who deserves a touch of love is Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland). While we see her more than the other two, it’s not nearly enough. We’ve watched her write some beautiful stories but is it time for her to take her nose out of the books and live more?
Let’s give Traci a love story so she can find her forever partner. The last time she was even crushing on a man it was Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) and it didn’t end well. Let’s give her a handsome gentleman to share her heart with who will give it back tenfold.
