Annika Noelle was thrown into the deep end on The Bold and the Beautiful soon after joining the show’s cast as Hope Logan back in 2019. She rejuvenated the Steffy Forrester/Liam Spencer/Hope triangle and cried her eyes out almost daily during the Baby Beth kidnapping saga. The actress recently chatted with Soap Hub about how she stays in shape both mentally and physically for this week’s installment of Wellness Wednesday.
Noelle has had to play many dramatic scenes during her B&B tenure. From the deep agony that Hope felt upon being told her daughter had died to the unmitigated joy she experienced when she learned that baby Beth was alive, Noelle has to be on top of her game to bring her character to life. Find out her succinct and effective advice on wellness.
Soap Hub: How do you schedule fitness into your life?
Annika Noelle: Currently, it’s whenever I have free time from shooting, but I want to make it more of a set regime in the future.
Soap Hub: What’s a typical fitness regime?
Annika Noelle: I do cross-training in a gym when I can, and other days I enjoy practicing yoga or boxing.
Soap Hub: Do you have a “cheat” day? Do you believe in them?
Annika Noelle: No, I don’t. I believe diet culture can actually fuel disordered eating, so I allow myself to eat freely. I will, however, try to make an effort to eat organically when I can.
Soap Hub: What’s one thing that you’d like to work on – more water? Shut off the cell phone after a certain hour?
Annika Noelle: Those are all fantastic suggestions. I know I can always drink more water, and I love the idea of setting cell phones aside in the morning and night.
Soap Hub: Do you meditate?
Annika Noelle: I have taken many classes but have yet to achieve it as a daily habit. But I enjoy mindful walking meditations the most.
Soap Hub: Have you always been active?
Annika Noelle: I used to be even more active, but sadly my sports injuries sidelined me quite a bit. I would love to get back to that level, though, if possible.
Soap Hub: Did you change your exercise regime during COVID? What positives may have come out of learning to do things differently?
Annika Noelle: I actually got a Ring Fit to do at home, which was surprisingly challenging. I thought it was a great inventive way to approach fitness that I had never experienced before.
Soap Hub: Everyone is different and has different needs but do you have any advice for those who are looking to work on their wellness?
Annika Noelle: Take it slow. Just start by adding one goal to accomplish in the week. And then once that becomes a habit, add another, then another. And before you know it, you’ve completely changed your lifestyle in a positive way.
