The Bold and the Beautiful recap (BB) for Wednesday, May 9 feature Liam and Hope sharing their joy much to the dismay of those around them.
Ridge Comforted His Daughter
Over at the cliff house, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was still trying to piece everything together. She went over the whole ordeal with Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and they wondered how everything went so wrong.
The Inevitable End
Now that Hope’s (Annika Noelle) wearing his ring, Liam (Scott Clifton) finally got down to cutting his ties to Steffy.
He filled out the annulment papers and sent them on their way with a messenger. However, when he initially tried signing then, there was a moment of hesitation that proved he may not be ready for all this.
Of course, that didn’t stop him and Hope spreading the word. The couple can’t wait to walk down he aisle and they want everyone to know!
In fact, if there was a mountain top to shout it from, Hope would be there with a mega phone.
Brooke Reacted Badly
The first person to hear the news was Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and she was unhappy about it. She slapped a reserved smile on her face, but the worry in her eyes wasn’t missed. Hope is getting everything she ever wanted, but it’s all simply too much, too soon.
Rick and Maya Have Their Doubts
Next came Hope’s brother and his lovely wife. While Maya (Karla Mosley) understood wanting to move quickly, Rick (Jacob Young) questioned Liam’s motives.

To him, Hope seems to be nothing but a rebound and he issued a stern warning for Liam to stay above board.
Ridge Exploded
Liam decided he should be the one to spill all to Ridge. The last time they talked, returning to Steffy was a sure thing and all that changed in a matter of hours. However, the conversation wasn’t easy.
Liam shared the news of his engagement and all the reasons why – including Steffy’s ongoing affair with Bill (Don Diamont). Ridge was shocked hearing this revelation and insisted it simply wasn’t true.
Steffy Fell Apart
Meanwhile, Steffy got quite the surprise when she showed up at Brooke’s looking for her husband. Instead of finding Liam, she found Hope wearing her old ring!
Poor Steffy nearly collapsed when Hope told her about the engagement. It was hard enough when she realized Liam was never coming home, but hearing it from her enemy was more than Steffy could bear.
