On today’s The Bold and the Beautiful episode, Sheila Carter suggested that, seeing as how she and Jack Finnegan had so much in common, he should help her out of her predicament.

Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights

In addition, Carter and Eric (John McCook) debated Katie’s compacity to reject Bill while opposite that, Katie did exactly that. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

Jack Finnegan Pays Sheila A Visit

At the prison, Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) bid her guest welcome and revealed that she’d begun to wonder whether he’d actually come, given she’s emailed and written him letters and received no response. But just as she was about to give up, here he was. How lovely it is for her to see…Jack Finnegan (Ted King)!

After gushing about how much it meant to her that he finally showed, Jack demanded to know exactly what it was she wanted of him.

In response, Sheila invoked memories of halcyon days when they were together; how those memories have been sustaining her since her imprisonment…especially the memory of the night Finn (Tanner Novlan) was conceived.

Oh yes, Finn. Had Jack heard that Finn saved her life after she suffered a stress-induced heart attack? He had. Sheila marveled at “their boy” and attempted to express just how very proud she was of “their son” and how he turned out — she owes that to Jack.

And given that she gave him the best thing that ever happened to him, and considering they’re both in the same, lonely boat, Sheila floats the idea of the two of them “helping one another out.”

Jack didn’t bite. In fact, he insisted that he wouldn’t be dragged down into her madness or extend her an iota of help…and if she thinks any differently, then she’s “even crazier” than he thought.

B&B Recap: Credit Where It’s Due

Meanwhile, over at Forrester Creations, a grateful Eric sang Carter’s (Lawrence Saint-Victor) praises and then inquired as to what it was that seemed to be troubling the Chief Operating Officer so. “Katie went to see Bill. She’s with him as we speak.” came Carter’s explanation.

Eric suggested that Carter shouldn’t let that bother him. After all, Katie and Bill share a son and will always have things to talk about. But Carter insisted there was more going on than two parents getting together to discuss their son.

Eric deduced that Carter was worried that Katie would succumb to Bill’s….um…charm(?)…hard sell(?)…plea for a second [third? fourth?] chance, but suggested that Katie was smart and wouldn’t allow herself to be taken in by Bill again.

Still, Carter wasn’t so sure. Bill and Katie have a history, a marriage full of memories, a child whom they adore — what if Bill stoops to using that to convince Katie to take him back? And what of Bill’s recent heroics? That’s certainly caused a change in people’s opinion of Bill. And then there’s the Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) of it all.

Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Dangerous Territory

Opposite this, Bill (Don Diamont) stooped to reminding Katie (Heather Tom) of their history, their marriage, their mutual memories of great times gone by, and of Will, the child they adore. But Kate really stood her ground.

Heck, she even attempted to steer Bill in Brooke’s direction. She is a single lady, doesn’t he know? But Bill persisted. There was a time when Brooke had a hold on him, but that relationship had an expiration date, and that date had passed. He swore that Katie was the woman for him, the only woman for him. And just like that, Katie appeared to crumble…but only a little. She might not have leaned into Bill’s kiss, but she allowed him to wrap her up in his arms.
