On The Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge and Deacon often were at odds back in the day, but their respective portrayers, Ronn Moss and Sean Kanan, get along great. Moss is guesting in an episode of Kanan’s digital drama Studio City, available now on Amazon Prime.

Ronn Moss And Sean Kanan Reunite

Moss appears in the 10th episode of Studio City, playing a version of himself. Sam Stevens (Kanan), an actor on the soap opera Hearts on Fire, crosses paths with Moss and his wife Devin DeVasquez, also playing a version of herself, when he auditions for a film that Moss is producing.

The two men square off and settle some old scores. Sam really wants the part that Ronn can give him — but will he? There’s another familiar face in this episode. Anna Marie Horsford (Vivienne, BB) plays Jolene Hernandez, who delivers some news about Sam’s career.

Savvy soap fans will enjoy the behind-the-scenes topics about the world of daytime drama found in the show and in this episode in particular.

Kanan and Moss shared screen-time back in the early 2000s after Deacon became involved with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) after he married Bridget (then, Jennifer Finnigan). Ridge decked Deacon on at least one occasion.

Years later, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke’s marriage hit a snag after he discovered that she had been texting Deacon, the father of Hope (Annika Noelle). Most recently, Deacon went off to prison after being charged with attempting to kill Quinn (Rena Sofer) after shooting at her.

Studio City received eight nominations at last year’s Daytime Emmys. Tristan Rogers (Scorpio, General Hospital) took home the gold for his role as Doc in the category of Outstanding Performance by a Supporting Actor in a Digital Drama Series. Studio City is directed by Timothy Woodward Jr.

The series is written by Michele Kanan, Lauren De Normandie, Sean Kanan, Jason Antognoli, and Timothy Woodward Jr. Studio City is executive produced by Antognoli, Sean Kanan, Brian Levine, Timothy Woodward Jr., Michele Kanan, Leah Aldarondo, Pablo Diez, Zebulun Huling, and Lauren De Normandie.

All 11 episodes of Studio City are available now on Amazon Prime. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
