She’s alone and still pining over her ex-husband, Eric Forrester. He’s alone and heartbroken after losing his paramour, Quinn Fuller Forrester. Donna Logan and Carter Walton are both lonely and unattached, but there’s no reason they have to stay that way. In fact, they’re The Bold and the Beautiful singles who desperately need to hook up.
When Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Quinn’s (Rena Sofer) affair was exposed, Donna (Jennifer Gareis) started getting her hopes up about possibly reconnecting with Eric (John McCook).
Then Eric and Quinn surprisingly reconciled, squashing her dream of a reunion. Meanwhile, Carter had been daydreaming about a future with Quinn when Eric decided he wanted his marriage back. Quinn complied. Although he was crushed, Carter fully supported Quinn’s decision, knowing Eric was her soulmate.
With Donna and Carter both nursing broken hearts, the timing seems perfect for them to take a chance on one another. Carter’s already shown he has a thing for sexy older women, and Donna definitely fills the bill.
Putting Donna and Carter together romantically makes perfect sense. They’re both kind, caring, and committed to keeping themselves in tiptop shape. They’ve known each other for years. They’re both employees at Forrester Creations, who have the same friends and acquaintances. Shouldn’t somebody have thought about fixing them up years ago – like maybe meddlesome Pam (Alley Mills) or one of Donna’s sisters, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) or Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang)?
A Donna/Carter hook-up is destined to stir up lots of drama and some jealousy, too. How would Quinn feel watching Carter, who she’s come to truly love, move on with her longtime foe of all people? Would Eric be concerned for Donna, believing Carter’s only turning to her on the rebound? And would he actually address those concerns with either of them?
The Logan sisters could also take issue with the potential pairing, fearful that Donna could be headed for more heartbreak. And how would Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) feel about his best friend getting involved with his wife’s sister? Of course, just about everyone would be bound to have an opinion on the new coupling, which would make it a compelling story twist.
