Another year is about to wrap, and some of your favorite soap stars are closing it out with a birthday. Soap Hub has compiled all the December dates, so you can send the actors and actresses you love your best wishes via Twitter and Instagram. Or you could go the old-fashioned route and mail them an actual card.
Soap Stars Celebrating In December
If you are a Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21), here are some of your traits. Sagittarius is the ninth sign of the zodiac and is a fire sign symbolized by the Archer (half-man, half-horse centaur). Sagittarians are unique among the astrology signs for their brilliant mesh of passion, curiosity, intensity, charisma, and adaptability. They dare to seek answers and knowledge where others fear to tread. They are fearless in their quest for secret revelations and knowledge.
Sagittarius is a mutable sign, known for its flexibility and ability to shift gears on a dime. They love to travel, adventure, seek different cultures and terrains, take risks, and explore religion and spirituality along the way. Their ruling planet is Jupiter, the planet of luck, expansion, and abundance. The essence of the go big or go home philosophy. And it keeps watching over them as they bravely dive into their insatiable search for information and thrill-seeking expeditions. You will find many gifted storytellers, creatives, artists, and entertainers under this sign.
In love, they don’t have a “type.” Sagittarians like different things about different people, whether it be a mental, physical, or spiritual tease from that particular potential partner, which can often leave a trail of broken hearts for those looking for a long-term relationship. Another negative trait is their brutal honesty, or what one would call “blurting,” which creates many misunderstandings, communication problems, and hurt feelings in their wake. They are often forgiven quickly because of their overall optimistic personality.
The Bold and the Beautiful alum Obba Babatundé (ex-Julius Avant) starts things off on December 1 when he turns 71. Fellow B&B alumna Rena Sofer (ex-Quinn Forrester) will be blowing out candles on December 2. That’s the day she turns 54.
December 4 is a special occasion for former Days of our Lives soap star Lauren Boles (ex-Ciara Brady). The young actress who won our hearts is turning 19 years old.
On December 6, General Hospital’s Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin) turns 69. Several days later, on December 9, B&B alum Ashleigh Brewer (ex-Ivy Forrester) is turning 32 years old.
December 10 marks the day that beloved DAYS alum Gloria Loring (ex-Liz Chandler) turns 76. GH star, John J. York (Mac Scorpio), will also join in the revelry. He turns 64 that same day. His former GH co-star Donna Mills (ex-Madeline Reeves) turns 82 on December 11.
December 12 has former Young and the Restless soap star Donny Boaz (ex-Chance Chancellor) going the cake and candles route as he marks another trip around the sun.
Beloved DAYS alum Christie Clark (ex-Carrie Brady) celebrates number 49 on December 13, while fellow Salem citizen Thaao Penghlis (Tony DiMera) will be celebrating, too. The veteran star is turning 77 on December 15.
The cake and candles ritual continues on December 16. That’s when Amanda Setton (Brook Lynn Quartermaine, GH) turns 37. Former General Hospital co-star Mark Lawson (ex-Dustin Phillips) celebrates 43 on December 17. Another GH co-star, Jeff Kober, who plays baddie Cyrus Renault, turns 69 on December 18, while that same day, DAYS alum Shawn Christian (ex-Daniel Jonas) turns 57.
If you are a Capricorn (December 22 – January 19), here are some of your traits. Capricorn is the tenth sign in the zodiac and is symbolized by the Goat. Capricorn is an earth sign with such traits as a very focused drive, a practical outlook on life, drive and determination, loyalty, tradition, ambition, and a laser-focus on achievement. Caps can thank their ruling planet Saturn, which encompasses hard work, challenging lessons, organization, concentration, responsibility, rules, boundaries, and discipline.
Capricorn is a cardinal sign which makes them natural-born leaders, visionaries, trendsetters, and idea people who can make something out of nothing. They are hard workers, and they age backward. As young people, they seem to be older than their time. They are close to their grandparents or older relatives. They start out as workaholics and then lighten up as they grow older.
In love, the Goats are in it for the long haul. They will do whatever it takes to succeed in a relationship and can roll with the punches. Negative traits can include self-interest, demanding, unrealistic standards for themselves and others, finding it hard to relax, melancholy, and depression. They are known to have a different persona in their private life, a dirty little naughty side that they only share with a chosen few.
Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair Williams, Y&R) commemorates her natal day, too. The actress, who has been on the CBS soap since she was a teenager, is turning 54 on December 22.
The legendary Susan Lucci (ex-Erica Kane, All My Children) has a birthday, too. The veteran soap star turns 76 on December 23.
Christmas Eve presents a double reason to party for B&B star Annika Noelle (Hope Logan Spencer). The actress turns 36 on December 24.
Fellow B&B star Matthew Atkinson (Thomas Forrester) will toast his birthday on December 27. The actor is turning 34. The next day, Bree Williamson (ex-Claudette, GH; ex-Jessica Buchanan, OLTL) turns 43.
The month wraps up on the biggest party night of the year, New Year’s Eve. This December 31 is also the day soap star Don Diamont (Bill Spencer, B&B) toasts a milestone birthday: The Big 6-0.
December 2022 Overview
The dreamy planet Neptune ends its retrograde cycle in Pisces on Saturday, December 3rd. What does that mean for you? Well, for the last six months, you have been growing more intuitive, tapping into your inner psychic abilities. Now you may find your dreams to be more spot on. Pay attention to your dreams and write them down. Mercury, the planet of communication, enters the practical sign of Capricorn on December 6. Be direct and honest with others, and you can ride through the holidays with less miscommunication and wounded feelings. The full moon in Gemini the next day, on the 7th, will test that theory with the urge to gossip and spin tall yarns. Practice straight talking and keep the nitpicking to a minimum.
Venus, the planet of love, enters Capricorn on December 9th, grounding our relationships and reminding us what is really important. Jupiter, the planet of luck and prosperity, enters the warrior sign of Aries, keeping everyone confident and strong enough to weather any stormy vibes. The winter solstice lands on the day the sun shifts to Capricorn, providing everyone with the stamina to make it through the rest of the year’s festivities and juggle any added workload as well. This is a perfect time to set your intentions for 2023.
Look out for December 23 as Chiron, the wounded healer planet, turns direct in Aries. For the last six months, we have been tasked with letting go of anger, pain, resentment, and past trauma. Purge what does not serve us any longer. Now is the time to let go of what was, ground ourselves in the moment, and look forward to a better future. The last Mercury in Retrograde begins on December 29. Don’t see this as a negative event. Think of it as a reminder to honor your word to yourself and others. Stick to your tasks and finish, but most importantly, slow down and take care of yourself to prepare for a new beginning. Happy New Year!
