It’s been far too long since we’ve seen RJ Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful. There’s been no news whatsoever about Joshua Hoffman’s status as RJ on the show. Considering the character has always distanced himself from Forrester/Logan drama, he could be doing just that with recent dramatic developments throwing everything into chaos. Whatever his status may be, the actor continues to share things with his social media fans, and recently relayed an incredible tale from his past.
He Was Marooned
On Instagram, Hoffman simply shared several heart emojis that were accompanied by a video of him outside. He told a fantastic tale that seems like something right out of a TV show or movie. “This is a story about the time that I was marooned on the East River in New York, February,” he began, explaining he once worked for a tour guide business that utilized jet skis.
His job was to keep an eye out for anything in the river that could impede the tours. “One day, a really sweet newly married couple showed up while they were on their honeymoon,” he remarked, explaining that they almost canceled that particular tour of Manhattan because of the 30 degree weather and rough waters. But the couple were insistent as it was the wife’s dream to do it, “because she saw it in some movie or whatever, so we did it.”

Derring-Do Got Him Fired
However, the bride’s jet ski broke down and Hoffman was ordered to switch places with her because she had a fear of falling into the water. He and a coworker tried tying it to another one, but, “every single tie that we made, tying up the broken jet ski to the working jet ski, either caused the broken jet ski to start to sink or to fight the other jet ski so hard that the other jet ski started to break down.”
As they neared a large cement wall, Hoffman realized there may have been a hook on the underside of the vehicle, so he reluctantly jumped into the river. “For those of you who don’t know, they find dead bodies and toxic trash and parasites [in there],” he stated, adding that his gambit worked and they saved the jet ski. However, he got fired because he took too much time to do his job, gallantly remarking that it was worth it. “I would do anything for someone else’s honeymoon memories. Wouldn’t you?” (Find out if RJ and Will (Crew Morrow) could be friends.)
