Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Soap Opera Casting For The Week of May 3, 2021
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.
General Hospital
General Hospital’s Kelly Thiebaud is going MIA as Britt Westbourne, this week. However, the move’s only temporary. Apparently, the actress received a false positive COVID-19 test, and, due to protocol, had to stop working for 10 days. The show’s pushed shooting those scenes so there won’t be a temporary recast.
Stephen A. Smith returns as Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) security expert, Brick. The character will help Carly (Laura Wright) transport Jason (Steve Burton) to safety.
Days of our Lives
Over at Days of our Lives, head writer Ron Carlivati confirmed that Victoria Konefal, who exited the soap as Ciara Brady last week, will be back on set “this summer.” However, there’s no word if Cameron Johnson, who departed with her as Theo Carver, will be joining her.
The Young and the Restless
Karla Mosley (ex-Maya, The Bold and the Beautiful) continues her run as Amanda Sinclair on The Young and the Restless. Mosley is temporarily stepping in for Mishael Morgan, who had to take a leave after undergoing emergency eye surgery.
Meanwhile, it’s been confirmed that Morgan is already back on the job at YR. The actress should resume her role as Amanda later this month.
The Bold and the Beautiful
On The Bold and the Beautiful front, Aaron D. Spears will soon be back as Bill’s (Don Diamont) longtime pal and Spencer Publications attorney, Justin Barber. Spears shared behind-the-scenes pictures of himself back at the soap’s studios on Instagram, posing with Diamont and Darin Brooks’ Wyatt.
Also back on the BB scene this week are Dan Martin, as LAPD deputy chief Bradley Baker, and Denise Richards as Quinn’s (Rena Sofer) bestie, Shauna Fulton. Please note that air dates may be subject to change.
