Soap Opera Comings and Goings: A New Character Debuts

Who’s coming and who’s going from the casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (Days), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?

Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.

The Young and the Restless

The Young and the Restless has cast Neil Winters’ (the late Kristoff St. John) son. Jacob Aaron Gaines is set to play Moses Winters. The character debuts Thursday, April 1. Gaines’ credits include the TV series Dimensional Shift and the Netflix feature Fatal Affair.

Also, Elizabeth Leiner, originally hired as a recurring player, has been upped to contract status as Tara Locke.

Days of our Lives

At Days of our Lives, Heather Lindell is returning as troublemaker Jan Spears, this week. Meanwhile, Linda Dano makes another appearance as Vivian Alamain on Tuesday, March 30.

Michael Lowry premieres as Dr. Snyder on Friday, April 2. Lowry’s previous daytime credits include the role of Jake on All My Children; Les on As the World Turns; and Ross on One Life to Live.

Linsey Godfrey wraps up her run as Sarah Horton on Monday, March 29, when her character appears to Paul Telfer’s jilted Xander.

General Hospital

A trio of recurring players is back on the General Hospital scene, this week. Carolyn Hennesy returns as attorney Diane Miller on Tuesday, March 30. Bonnie Burroughs appears as Gladys Corbin on Wednesday, March 31. And Hudson West logs in more airtime as Jake Webber.

The Bold and the Beautiful

On The Bold and the Beautiful front, Henry Joseph Samiri is finally set for another appearance as the young Douglas Forrester. The tyke airs on Tuesday, March 30.

Plus, Denise Richards gets more air time as Shauna Fulton, this week. She’ll share scenes with her BB bestie, Rena Sofer’s Quinn.
