On today’s Bold and the Beautiful episode, Brooke Logan worked overtime to bolster Taylor Hayes’s sprits and make clear to her that she’s not alone in this world.
In addition to Brooke and Taylor’s therapeutic convo, Katie (Heather Tom) stood her ground where Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) was concerned, and the spouses Finnegan took advantage of their big empty house. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.
Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) simply will not abide Taylor (Krista Allen) comparing herself to Sheila. Granted they have one single solitary thing in common, and yes, it doesn’t reflect well on their respective characters, but there just isn’t any real comparison.
Taylor shot Bill (Don Diamont) in a fit of rage after being told that he’d raped her daughter. Sheila shot OG Stephanie, Brooke, Taylor herself, Finn (Tanner Novlan), and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) all for funsies. Sheila is a terrible person.

But not Taylor. Oh no. Taylor is a good person who did one bad thing. Nobody’s perfect — even if they have been given the designation “Saint” by all who love her.
That made Taylor feel a bit better…at least well enough to briefly change the subject to Ridge (Thorsten Kaye). Did Brooke know that their mutual ex is really chewing on the food for thought she gave him prior to his little walkabout? Well, he is, and Taylor couldn’t be more pleased. Pleased and grateful.
But there’s yet more that Brooke can do. Namely, she can reassure Taylor that she has a friend, a best friend, to whom she can confide anything and everything to from this moment forward. That really cheered Taylor up.
Katie and Sheila just can’t seem to get on the same page. Sheila wants Katie to accept the new normal that is her romance with Bill, and Katie wants Sheila to go to Hell. Neither thing is actually going to happen. Still, Sheila persists.
After all, why does Katie even care? Didn’t she abandon Bill once it became clear that he’d never be the man that she wanted him to be? Isn’t it clear that if Bill could have his pick of Logan women, he wouldn’t pick Katie? Hasn’t she learned by now that she’ll never be woman enough for Bill? Poor Katie. Poor unloved, fragile little Katie. Can’t keep a man, always in need of someone else’s organs.
Before Katie could have the privilege of tossing Sheila out on her ear, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) happened by and did it for her. Is Katie all right? Did Sheila hurt her? Is there anything that Carter can do for her?
The short answer is no. Not especially. But Katie sure does appreciate having Carter in her corner and in her life. A man who loves her and wants to protect her. Both agree that they’re pretty darn lucky to have the other.
This almost never happens. Finn and Steffy are all alone at the cliff house. No kids, no borders, no in-laws — welcome or otherwise — bursting through the door. And they’ve actually tired of talking about Sheila and Bill — well, they tired of talking about them after having a short conversation about that very subject.
But what to do with all this free time? Make love on the living room couch, that’s what! In the afterglow, the two ponder the miracle that was their reunion and the deep and abiding love that they have for one another.
