The B&B recap for Tuesday, December 13, 2022, features yet more talk but very little decisive action other than that undertaken by a supposedly reformed baddie.
In this episode, news of Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) greatly exaggerated death was disseminated — and not for the first, nor do we imagine for the last time. Elsewhere, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) made his loyalties clear, while Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) sang his praises to her very uninterested mother. Now, let’s take a deeper look into what went on.
Having managed to tear himself away from his daily hotdog with all the trimmings, Deputy Chief Bradley Baker (Dan Martin) set about trying to convince Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) that she didn’t run into a disguised Sheila — but Steffy would not be deterred.

She very much did run into her supposedly deceased mother-in-law, and the proof would be in the pudding that is the security cameras posted all over Il Giardino…the very same cameras that her and John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) new bestie — that would be Deacon — was scrubbing clean so that his bestie — that would be Sheila — wouldn’t become Public Enemy # 1.
When confronted by Steffy, Finn, and the DP, Deacon apologized profusely that there was nothing to see. After they took their leave of him, he started packing for a quick getaway. His excuse when buddy Paul (Hollis W. Chambers) came a calling and wondered what was up? He’s heading out of the country — Italy, to be specific — in order to shore up funds to buy the restaurant. Paul, ever the bright bulb, bought the story hook, line, and sinker.
At Forrester Creations, Hope begged Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) to be straight with her — is everything copesetic? Hope wouldn’t normally pry (HA!), but she can’t help but be concerned because…Brooke’s been coming to work every. single day. and she’s been there super early. That’s not like her. Is she scared to be home alone? Is the lack of Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) getting to her? Perish the thought, exclaims Brooke!
She’s totally A-okay without Ridge, and truth be told, she’ll be fine if he comes back and tells her that he’s chosen Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) because at least she’ll know. Also, she ain’t afraid of no Sheilas!
Hope couldn’t be more thrilled at her mother’s outlook. Well, that’s not entirely true. She’d be even more thrilled if Brooke would just give Deacon a passing thought. A bonus would be if Brooke actually seriously considered getting back together with Deacon. But don’t worry, Hope’s not going to press and belabor the issue. She’s not Steffy.
Somewhere in Los Angeles, Sheila sits alone before a mirror, plotting her epic comeback. She’s gonna show all of those Forresters! Somewhere else — Forrester Creations, to be specific — Steffy updates Brooke and Hope about her run-in with you know who. The women are suitably horrified, and both give Steffy’s story far more credence than Baker.
