In The Bold and the Beautiful recap for August 15, 2023, brother-in-law RJ couldn’t help but take the side of Finn’s love rival.

Bold and the Beautiful Recap Highlights

In addition, Steffy found herself at a loss when confronted by opposing opinions, and Liam opened a metaphorical vein for Wyatt’s benefit. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into what exactly happened.

B&B Recap: Blame Game

Finn (Tanner Novlan) welcomed RJ (Joshua Hoffman) to his and Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) home and confided that he needed his help with Steffy. He’s been so lost since she moved out with the kids, and he desperately needs her back.

And though he put his hands up and admitted that he was negligent when it came to watching Kelly, Finn insisted that Steffy wouldn’t have left him if it wasn’t for Liam (Scott Clifton).

That surprised RJ…as did learning that Finn embraced Sheila at the courthouse. But Finn continued to hammer home that his and Steffy’s estrangement was down to Liam. After all, Liam had filmed Finn hugging Sheila and ran to Steffy with the evidence. That was proof that Liam is trying to sabotage his marriage. RJ wasn’t so sure.

Perhaps Liam was being true to his words. Maybe he really was just trying to look out for Steffy and the kids. Finn disagreed. Liam told him to his face that he still loves Steffy — not to mention his crack about the “incredible history” they share. He knew that Liam is out to sabotage him, and what’s more, he was “not going to let that little twerp get away with it.”

The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Can’t Hurry Love

At the Forrester mansion, Steffy profusely thanked Eric (John McCook) for opening up his home to her and the children, and he told her to stay for as long as she needed. Eric and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) then surrounded Steffy and assured her she’d done the right thing in coming there.

Taylor (Krista Allen) soon joined the trio, and she was a sight for Steffy’s sore eyes. Mother and daughter embraced, and Taylor issued her apologies and wondered aloud if it wasn’t time for Steffy to return home and try to work things out with Finn.

Ridge strenuously objected to the very notion. She’s not safe at the cliff house. Not with the possibility of psycho Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) popping out without a prior warning to visit with her son.

Taylor complained that she was merely advocating for their daughter’s marriage, considering she had a husband who was devoted to her and who loved only her, and didn’t their vows say something about “for better or for worse?”

Steffy interrupted her feuding folks with a request that they not fight about her in front of her, only to be soundly corrected. They are most assuredly NOT fighting. Ridge is just trying to explain why Taylor was wrong. Scratch that, he was trying to explain why he was right. And what it boils down to is this: is Steffy really prepared to return to Finn and live her life looking over her shoulder for a glimpse of Sheila?

B&B Recap: Tempting Fate

At Spencer Publications, Liam and Wyatt (Darin Brooks) celebrated FINALLY securing a most lucrative deal, and Liam’s coming to clean to Bill (Don Diamont) about all the upheaval going on in his personal life.

Wyatt steered the conversation in Steffy’s direction, and Liam praised her for gathering the children and leaving Finn. Gosh, he was so proud of her. And Wyatt was proud of his brother…proud that he was finally being honest with himself about his feelings for Steffy. Well, honest-ish. Wyatt’s still pretty sure that there’s more to Liam’s feelings.

Not only did he think that Liam loved Steffy, he thought that Liam was in love with Steffy and that he wanted a life with her again — and he thought that Liam would feel a lot better if he’d just admitted that to himself. So, Liam did just that. But still, he didn’t want to interfere in her marriage…even if Finn had become a danger to the kids and Steffy too. Then again, he only has one life to live, and he wanted to live it with Steffy and his daughter.
