General Hospital‘s Ethan Lovett (looking new and different) delivers big news to Lulu, according to the weekly spoilers for Friday, July 31. In other GH news, Sonny summons Jason. And Anna is gobsmacked. Yes, gobsmacked.
Key Takeaways
- Ethan delivers unexpected news to Lulu.
- Sonny summons Jason while Anna is left speechless by a shocking discovery.
- Brook Lynn defends Danny as Dante steps up to coach Liz.
Ethan Tells Lulu News that She Didn’t Expect
Ethan (Christian Howard) and Lulu (Alexa Havins) have relied on each other since he returned to town. Lulu gave him a place to stay. Ethan was her source for fake passports when she wanted to take Rocco (Finn Carr) on the run.
The supportive siblings interact on Friday when Ethan delivers big news to Lulu. He is sitting on a couple of things that could be considered big. There’s the whole Phoebe situation. And there is the fact that he and Ava (Maura West) took their sometimes flirty, sometimes contentious relationship to the next level this week. Whatever news Ethan tells Lulu, how will she respond?
Sonny Turns to Jason
Jason has been making the rounds ever since he returned to Port Charles. He updated and debriefed Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright) simultaneously. They are beyond happy to have him back in one piece.
When Sonny summons Jason, it will be interesting to see how the conversation plays out. Steve Burton recently said that the show is “shifting directions a little bit,” regarding his character. So that makes us wonder whether some of that shift begins during Stone Cold’s conversation with Sonny on Friday.
What Leaves Anna Shocked This Time?
This seems to be a day for characters who have recently returned to town. Anna (Finola Hughes) is one of those having spent months and months in a psychiatric facility. She should still be receiving some sort of treatment now that she’s home.
Anna’s current mission is to find out what happened in PC in her absence. In the process, she’s finding out and figuring out a lot. And now she’s about to be gobsmacked, which means she probably learns something that leaves her speechless. What will cause that kind of response?
Brook Lynn Turns into a Mama Bear for Danny
Meanwhile, look for Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) to defend Danny (Asher Antonyzyn). If this has to do with Drew (Cameron Mathison), then it’s great that Danny has her to rely on, especially after Danny did Drew a solid.
Not that the former congressman would care. But Danny stood up to his family about letting Drew back onto the Quartermaine property. He wanted them to reconsider, since Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) loves her dad and wants him by her side while she trains for her charity swim event.
Unfortunately for the entire town, Drew isn’t just saving his wrath for Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) now that he’s mobile and vocal again. He’s acting exactly like he did before Willow jabbed him with the paralytic. Thankfully, Brook Lynn isn’t someone to back down for the likes of Drew Cain.
Dante Steps Up for Liz
Finally, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) coaches Liz (Rebecca Herbst), most likely for the hospital’s softball team. There has been some summer softball league chatter lately. Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) is GH’s equipment manager. The new guy, Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer), has been recruited.
And we know Dante loves this time of the year when the league takes over. We also know from Dante’s past with Sam (Kelly Monaco) that bantering about softball and exchanging trash talk passes for flirting. Is that what’s going on here between Dante and Liz?
