On Tuesday’s The Bold and the Beautiful, Dylan and Will dealt with the emotional fallout after a complicated night together. After Electra told Will they were done for good, Will and Dylan got close and spent the night together. While Will declared his love for Electra, Dylan was confident that they had a future together.

Key Takeaways

  • Dylan spoke to Jessica about her night with Will.
  • Will declared his love for Electra in a conversation with Wyatt.
  • Did Dylan hear the relationship she wanted instead of the one that Will was actually offering?

Dylan Spills the Beans On Her Night With Will

On Tuesday’s episode, Dylan (Sydney Bullock) reminisced about her night with Will (Crew Morrow) in the design office at Forrester Creations. Jessica (Sissy Sheridan), the hostess from Bikini, showed up and immediately asked if anything had happened with Will.

Dylan closed the door, causing her friend to squeal. She admitted they only talked. Jessica claimed there was more to it from the big smile on her face.

Dylan explained that she and Will made out and then fell asleep on his couch. Jessica was disappointed to hear that was all they did. But she was excited for Dylan and promised not to tell anyone.

Dylan admitted that she felt guilty about what happened. But she wouldn’t have gone over to his place if Electra (Laneya Grace) hadn’t ended it for good. She shared that Will’s brother, Wyatt (Darin Brooks), asked her to look after him.

Dylan wants to give Will the time he needs to get over Electra. However, she was sure they had a future together. Dylan didn’t care if she lost her job over Will.

She was certain that it would all work out for them eventually. After all, Electra had R.J. (Brayan Nicoletti) to lean on. And in Dylan’s mind, they were going to end up together.

Will Spills His Heart to Wyatt

At Logan, Will thought about Electra and Dylan. Wyatt walked in and noticed that he was distracted. Noticing Electra’s photo on Will’s laptop, he begged his brother to move on from the Forrester.

Will insisted that he was fine. But Wyatt wasn’t convinced. He asked Will what no one else has asked him lately. He wanted to know how Will has really been feeling lately.

Wyatt noted that Will hasn’t been himself. Wyatt brought up “Nancy” from the beach house, who was really Dylan. Will admitted that she is super hot. Wyatt pleaded with his brother not to lead “Nancy” on.

Will understood, but he claimed that he couldn’t just drop his feelings for Electra. Wyatt pointed out that Electra dumped him over a business deal.

Wyatt noticed that whenever Will spoke about Electra, he was never happy. All he wanted was for his brother to be happy.

Did Dylan Hear Only What She Wanted to?

As Will declared his love for Electra, Dylan told Jessica that she would be Will’s “forever girl.” She was fueled by calculated wishful thinking.

Dylan’s confidence in building a future with Will stems from hearing the subtext she wanted to hear. She consciously chose to dismiss his previous declarations, treating his lingering attachment as a minor obstacle rather than a dealbreaker.

Dylan capitalized on Will’s emotional low point to push her own romantic agenda. Whenever Will showed gratitude or protectiveness, she framed it as romantic potential rather than a grieving man seeking comfort.

Dylan justified her actions by insisting that Will and Electra were broken up, proving she viewed the situation through a lens that served her own expectations.

While Will unintentionally created that expectation through his mixed messages, Dylan heard the relationship she wanted rather than the one Will was actually offering.

This situation is a toxic combination of both. Will is guilty of reckless emotional substitution, leaning on Dylan for the comfort he missed from Electra.

However, Dylan is guilty of willful blindness. She didn’t just misread a promise; she manufactured a future in her mind. She chose to ignore Will’s reservations because the fantasy of being with him was what she wanted to believe.
