Even The Bold and the Beautiful’s Brooke Logan admits she is not sure how to be without a man — and she certainly doesn’t know how to be without Ridge, as demonstrated by her instinct to parade around in her lingerie in front of him. However, she is ready to give it the old college try.
In fact, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) hasn’t known life without Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) since she was a college student studying chemistry and working as a cater waiter to put herself through school. Now, she is a successful chemist and businesswoman with a mansion all her own, as well as a mother and grandmother, and she is trying a Ridge-less life for the first time in a long time. It’s unclear whether Brooke is enjoying life this way, but are you enjoying Brooke with this newfound resolve to keep Ridge at bay?
Brooke needs to give it up now, say 12% of you. Ridge is Brooke’s destiny and that is that. Do not pass go. That is what she has told him time and time again over the last four decades until both of them believed it — or at least sometimes believed it considering how many times they got married and then divorced.
You want to see the Bridge repaired and Brooke and Ridge just face the fact that they are always endgame and will always wind up together. There’s no use fighting it so why try?
Perhaps all Brooke needs is a break from Ridge, say 30% of you. Their latest go at marriage didn’t end well and even had one faux divorce thrown into the middle of it when Ridge thought he married Shauna (Denise Richards) during a drunken Vegas stupor. When the marriage actually did end, it was because Ridge jumped to conclusions about his wife without communicating with her and asking
Ridge who? Seeing Brooke without that man who never treated her right is wonderful and refreshing for 58% of you and you don’t want to see it end. Brooke is not a completely new woman as evidenced by her lingerie in front of the fireplace stunt, but she is trying and growing.
She values friendship now more than she does a man and that is a big step for someone whose mother-in-law dubbed her ‘The Slut From The Valley’ decades ago. You want to see what a Ridge-less life can bring Brooke and hope she doesn’t end up with the same old, same old (meaning Ridge) six months from now.
