It takes two to tango, does it not? No, we’re not referring to Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and Hope (Annika Noelle) locking lips in Rome and hitting the sheets back in Los Angeles. We’re talking about Hope feeling that Liam (Scott Clifton) was always going to love Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). Does Liam bear part of the responsibility for Hope straying? We posed this query to B&B fans.
Bold and the Beautiful Community Property
If Hope and Liam divorce, about 13% feel that they need to split the blame for the marriage right down the middle — 50/50. Sure, Hope is drawn to Thomas, but didn’t that happen after Liam hopped into bed with Steffy after he thought Thomas and Hope were making out? (He was really just being intimate with a mannequin.) Hope and Liam got over that pretty quickly, but it turns out that Hope never did.
Liam Spencer, The Waffler
Many of you, about 38%, say that Liam slowly (and, mostly, subtly) let Hope know that he would always be tied to Steffy. Sure, they have a child, Kelly (Sophia Paras McKinlay), together, but Hope believes that Liam cares for Steffy more deeply than even he’s aware. Hope wants someone who wants her and no one else. And that person is Thomas.
B&B: In The Clear
The rest of you, about 49%, say that no, Liam is not responsible for Hope’s actions. Was sleeping with Steffy a few years back impulsive and foolish? Of course, it was. However, Liam thought Hope had betrayed him. If Hope had trouble getting past this, she should have sought help from a therapist — not a new lover.
