Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Soap Opera Casting For The Week Of April 04, 2022
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.
The Young and the Restless
In a surprise move, Jordi Vilasuso is out as Rey Rosales on The Young and the Restless. The actor, who joined the soap in 2018, will make his last appearance sometime this spring. Vilasuso broke the news via his Instagram account.
General Hospital
A new Alexis Davis is set to debut in Port Charles. Daytime vet Nancy Lee Grahn is out, albeit only temporarily while the actress recovers from back surgery. During her absence, Stephanie Erb is taking over the role. Erb previously portrayed Camille Owens on Port Charles. She also had small roles on Days of our Lives and The Young and the Restless.
Gregory Harrison returns as Gregory Chase, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) father, on Monday, April 4.
Meanwhile, Lydia Look airs as Selina Wu, and Hudson West and Enzo De Angelis appear as Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) sons, Jake and Aiden, on Tuesday, April 5.
Michael Blake Kruse has been playing Rory Cabrera, the new rookie cop at the Port Charles police department.
The Bold and the Beautiful
A beloved Forrester has returned home on The Bold and the Beautiful. Ashley Jones has reprised her role as Bridget Forrester for another story arc. She made her first reappearance on March 30.
Also, back on the B&B scene is Naomi Matsuda as Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) adoptive mother, Li. She begins airing again on Wednesday, April 6.
Days of our Lives
Finally, at Days of our Lives, a key troublemaker is returning to the Salem fold. Heather Lindell is back for another run as Jan Spears, beginning Monday, April 4. Her first scenes are opposite her longtime onscreen nemesis, Martha Madison’s Belle Black Brady.
