The Bold and the Beautiful Ridge Deacon Fight
The backdrop on The Bold and the Beautiful is fashion — not fisticuffs — however, the half-hour serial delivered on a big old-fashioned brawl this week between Ridge Forrester and Deacon Sharpe that’s one for the history books!
Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) opted to have a conversation with his fists when he confronted Deacon (Sean Kanan) over him kissing and ‘sleeping’ with his wife Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) on New Year’s Eve. Kaye and Kanan pulled out all the stops as their two characters went at it in the supply room at Il Giardino. If stunt doubles were involved, we couldn’t tell! The two actors committed to the action-filled scenes and the payoff was palpable.
B&B set the stage for the showdown. Sure, Deacon didn’t have sex with Brooke, but Ridge felt that Deacon sleeping in his bed overnight was just as bad. Ridge even suspected that Deacon spiked Brooke’s drink so that he could bed her. (He didn’t of course, but Ridge doesn’t know that — yet.)
Fans responded positively to the fight scenes. “Damn Deacon was so kicking his old ass,” posted @lillylenz. “Always Team Deacon @seankanan @Iamthorstenkaye @BandB_CBS #BoldandBeautiful #deaconsharpe #ridgeforrester #brookelogan.” Twitter user TeamSteffyFinnSinnonBBTridge appeared to throw their support to Kaye’s Ridge by posting a solo shot of the actor in a power position. “boldandbeautifulinmyheart #theboldandthebeautiful#beautiful #RidgeForrester @iamthorstenkaye.”
“Thanks to everyone for your compliments regarding the Deacon/Ridge showdown,” Kanan tweeted out to Bold and the Beautiful fans. “We have an awesome team @BandB_CBS I’m very fortunate to have such a talented co star in @Iamthorstenkaye Tiring but we had fun. Our director Jen Howard and our editors killed it. #BoldandtheBeautiful.”
The drama didn’t stop when both men stopped swinging. Brooke rushing in and tending to a downed Deacon (granted, the guy was on the floor) prompted Ridge to speak some harsh, realistic words to his wife. He told her that he warned her that Deacon would only bring trouble and now, that’s exactly what’s happened. B&B didn’t have these two men trade blows just for the sake of a battle royal — it’s the fallout from what led to the fight that will keep viewers tuning in to see what happens next!
