Adam Newman and Sally Spectra finally got together on The Young and the Restless after months on end of playing cat and mouse with each other. The soap got this fiery relationship right. It’s a bright and exciting spot among other difficult-to-swallow storylines.

Young and the Restless Kudos

Sparks sizzle between Adam (Mark Grossman) and Sally (Courtney Hope). Leading up to them finally giving in to the chemistry they had, the two could barely keep their hands off of each other when they found themselves in a room alone. This depth of emotion and feeling really lit up the screen, giving us something to anticipate and look forward to.

These two are a breath of fresh air on the canvas. Not only are Adam and Sally hot and passionate, but also they have light-hearted fun in their relationship. This playful side makes them interesting to watch, especially compared to a couple like Adam’s sister, Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland Locke (Robert Newman).

Two Wrongs Make Something Right

Sally noted how the two of them, who’ve often been wrong in their lives, somehow came together to make something so incredibly right. We especially appreciate Sally because she stood right up to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), even though Adam was also willing to defend her to his father. We admire the spunk she showed, and we can see that she’s strong enough to be Adam’s partner, and he won’t likely be able to fool her or run over her. Amid all that fire, we also think they each have a depth of feeling for each other. Is it love? We shall see.

Another positive aspect of their pairing is that Sally doesn’t expect perfection from Adam. He’ll be able to remain the best part of himself without having to become a complete goody-two-shoes. With Sally by his side, Adam can keep a bit of his cutthroat edge while not going over to the dark side completely. Kudos to Y&R on getting this slow-burning relationship just right.
