They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we wonder what good is a picture when you can’t recognize the subject? Above is a snapshot of a future star of soaps, but can you guess who this bright-eyed young’un grew up to be?
Star Of The Soaps
Obviously this young man (now all grown up) is either currently starring in, or is an alum of, one of the four remaining daytime dramas – The Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless – but that’s probably not enough of a hint.
So try these on for size. He is a native of Maryland. He began his career as a child model/commercial actor. He appeared in an Abercrombie and Fitch ad campaign. He is a graduate of New York University. He has (so far) appeared on only one daytime soap. His first acting role was in a comedy/drama set in the music industry. And he is a gifted piano player.
But just who can he be? Is this a photograph of Mace Coronel (ex-R.J. Forrester, BB), Chandler Massey (Will Horton, DAYS), William Lipton (Cameron Webber, GH), or Tyler Johnson (Theo Vanderway, YR)?
Mace Coronel
Cornel has been working steadily since the age of 8 and he has appeared in only one daily serial. However, his first professional acting credit was the educational series Up in Arms and he has not yet reached college age. So he isn’t today’s featured star.
Chandler Massey
DAYS is the only soap that Massey has appeared on. But he didn’t launch his acting career until he was 18 years of age and, though he is a talented keyboardist, he didn’t work for the Abercrombie & Fitch label. So he isn’t the answer to today’s identity query.
William Lipton
And neither is Lipton. This talented singer/songwriter and guitarist grew up in sunny California and his first acting credit was the short film Finding Harmony. However, he and the actor in question do have one thing in common: Lipton has only appeared on one daytime soap.
Tyler Johnson
After a lengthy acting career in his youth (which included nationally aired commercials and a role in Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You), Johnson briefly retired in order to concentrate on higher education.
He eventually returned to modeling and after a series of successful campaigns with Abercrombie and Fitch and exposure in such high profile magazines as Italian Vogue and VMAN, Johnson convinced his representatives to help him get a foothold in the acting world. Roles on Love Monkey, 30 Rock, and Gossip Girl followed and since 2019, Johnson has been playing YR’s Theo.
So, if you guessed that the future star of soaps seen in the image above was Tyler Johnson, then you were absolutely correct!
