Will Sonny’s Disappearance Lead To A ‘Jarly’ Affair On General Hospital?

Jason and Carly’s Christmas is not at all as they imagined on General Hospital. Sam has broken things off with Jason and both he and Carly are carrying the secret that Sonny plunged into the Hudson River and is missing in action.

A General Hospital Triangle?

The pair have been BFFs for decades and even tried a more enhanced relationship twice, but it never worked. Will it happen now? Well, actor Maurice Benard is already on the lookout. On Tuesday, he took to Twitter to post a photo of Carly in Jason’s arms as they fretted about Sonny’s whereabouts.

“It’s already starting,” Benard tweeted. “I’m watching you, Carly.” That’s when a few co-stars chimed in with some tongue in cheek comments.

“Hey, the lady needs some comfort,” tweeted Maura West, who plays Ava, mother of Sonny’s daughter, Avery.

Laura Wright, who plays Carly had to chime in with her own comment. “Sonny, who?” (Carly, how soon we forget about the apparent love of your life.) Benard responded with a gif from the TV show Mad Men, with Don Draper basically saying, “Oh well, what are you going to do?”

There seems to be a consensus with many fans that this affair would be a great idea to shake things up with a couple that has been happily married for more than five years now. (And also married for the fifth time.)

Jason and Carly first met in the mid-90s while playing pool at a roadside bar. They had a purely sexual/pool-playing relationship at the time. But she also had a one-night-stand at that same bar with Jason’s brother, AJ, resulting in Michael (Chad Duell), who Carly passed off as Jason’s for a while.
