Soap Ratings News: General Hospital and The Young and the Restless Rank On Top

The latest soap opera ratings report is in and there’s good news for fans of The Young and the Restless and General Hospital. The Bold and the Beautiful and Days of Our Lives fared well, too.

Soap Ratings Report

In Households, YR came in first with a 2.03 rating. BB came in second with a 1.80. Next was GH with a 1.40. DAYS was in 4th place with 1.20.

However, in the coveted demographic of women viewers aged 18-49 (aka W18-49), GH came in first with .38. DAYS was second with .32. YR came in third with .31. BB was fourth with .28.

What Drove These Numbers?

What stories were drawing in viewers last week? GH featured the Nurses Ball and Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) brutal attack on Brook Lynn (Briana Lane). Talk about the show must go on!

Fans saw General HOspital pull out all the stops to produce the Nurses Ball in the age of coronavirus. Maxie (Kirsten Storms) even managed to announce her pregnancy on a hot mic.

On The Young and the Restless, Adam (Mark Grossman) dealt with repressed memories that he killed a man and sought support from Sharon (Sharon Case). Theo (Tyler Johnson) pitched himself to Billy (Jason Thompson) and Lily (Christel Khalil) for a new position at their communications company. Jack (Peter Bergman) shared that Dina (Marla Adams) whispered a word to him that may hold the key to a family secret.

Meanwhile, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) dealt with the fallout from his surprise elopement with Shauna (Denise Richards) on The Bold and the Beautiful. Thomas checked in on Steffy who is slowly developing a dependence on pain killers. Can her handsome doctor, John “Finn” Finnegan, help her?

Over on Days of Our Lives, the folks in Salem dealt with the fallout from Allie (Lindsay Arnold) wanting to give up her son for adoption. Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander (Paul Telfer) reconnected. Plus, a brainwashed Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) had visions of strangling Ciara (Victoria Konefal).

The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless air weekdays on CBS. Days of Our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for air times.
