Father Figure: Should Sam Finally Forgive Julian on General Hospital (GH)?

When she first arrived on General Hospital (GH), Sam all but made a beeline for Sonny for her mandatory mobster worship and impregnation. She then moved on to Jason, and joined his chorus of Sonny apologists for years.

And yet, Sam (Kelly Monaco) just cannot seem to forgive her own father, Julian (William DeVry), for being part of the criminal element. Is Sam being a wee bit hypocritical? Here’s what almost 11000 viewers had to say about it!

If Sam can stomach Sonny, Jason, and all their respective hangers-on, then she certainly owes it to Julian to extend him the same courtesy, 80% of you confidently voted.

Sure, he may have held a knife to her mother, Alexis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) throat. But if Alexis still gets weak in the knees at the sight of Julian’s abs, who is Sam to hold a grudge?

On the other hand, maybe that’s the problem!

Sam slept with Sonny. She slept with Jason. Julian is her dad. So if a mobster isn’t a potential romantic interest… who needs him?

But speaking of needing Julian, he did donate bone marrow when Danny needed it. Do you really want to piss the guy off in case you need to plunder him for parts again, Sam?

No Forgiveness!
Morality has to start somewhere, venture a more righteous 19%. Maybe Sam will work her way up to judging Sonny and Jason if she starts with Julian. He’s a pretty bad guy, too. Even if he is just running a pub now, claiming to be out of mob life. That’s what they all say.

Is Sam doesn’t forgive Julian, she may grow a backbone towards other criminals who don’t deserve it. You think this could be a very positive step not just for Sam, but for all of Port Charles!
