The fans and cast of General Hospital had a fun time at the 2024 fan event at Graceland. Fans were treated to a costume Party, an episode screening, various panels with the stars, autograph and photograph sessions, and a live Nurses Ball, among other fun stuff. Star Steve Burton took some time from the festivities to impart more words of wisdom to the viewers.
No Suspicious Minds
On Instagram, Steve Burton (Jason) posted a video and wrote, “Here @visitgraceland – thanks for having us. @generalhospitalabc. What a spiritual place. You know I love Elvis and quotes. ‘When things start to go bad, don’t go with them.’ -Elvis. One of Elvis’ favorite scriptures: Psalm 11:1: ‘In the Lord I place my trust and He will guide.’ Gratitude unlocks all. The best practice there is.”
In the video clip, Burton walked around the Graceland property and again thanked the venue and fans for participating in the fan event. He reiterated the Elvis Presley quote in his caption. He explained that when he hears the quote, “Immediately I thought of negative self-talk,” adding, “When things start to go South, when things go bad, we can have some negative self-talk that takes us further into the rabbit hole. And really, we can stop that.”

Going to the Chapel
Burton continued sharing his advice: “We gotta stop that [negativity] with a positive thought or a feeling of gratitude because we can’t be negative and positive at the same time, and that’s why I say always, ‘gratitude unlocks all,’ and what a better place to be than at the chapel in the woods.” He stopped and pointed at Graceland’s Chapel in the Woods, a wonderful wedding venue. He then thanked the fans, remarking, “You guys are awesome. I appreciate you so much.”
The fans were moved by his words, with one responding, “You are amazing hope to meet u someday because love your positivity your faith your genuineness and love to inspire!! Love this and you are awesome!!!! I love Elvis and Graceland ❤️.” As followers took his words to heart, Burton’s girlfriend, recipe maker Michelle Lundstrom, encouraged him with, “Keep spreading the light ❤️.”
