Cameron Mathison Shares A General Hospital Scene With Wife Vanessa

Thursday’s episode of General Hospital will be a bit of a family affair for Cameron Mathison, as his real-life wife will be having her first chance to act on the ABC soap she has loved all her life.

The actor shared the behind-the-scenes meaning this move has for Vanessa Mathison, his wife of almost 20 years in a post to his Instagram account, which you can see below. “Today’s the day!!! Vanessa will be acting for her very first time…with me on General Hospital,” he wrote in the caption next to several pictures that show the fun the two were having at the studio.

“I hope you check it out and show her some love,” he requested, before going into more detail. “I have to say… [GH executive producer] Frank Valentini made the character of Drew [Cain] a reality for me, and now he has made Vanessa’s dream come true as well. Vanessa has been a GH fan her whole life!”

To bring home that point, he let his followers in on a little tidbit about their early days. “When I met her I was Ryan [Lavery] on All My Children and she had no idea who I was… she only watched GH (yes, especially you [Jack Wagner]),” he wrote. “Look at you now [Vanessa Mathison],” added the very proud husband.

“So thank you Frank, and thank you to every single cast and crew that was so kind to Vanessa on her big day. I love you guys,” he added, showing his gratitude in addition hashtags like #dreamscometrue, #happywifehappylife, #actingdebut, the show and of course laughing at co-star Kelly Thiebaud’s photobombing the shot.
