General Hospital fans have been waiting with bated breath for Rebecca Budig to return to the Port Charles scene as Hayden Barnes. Her last exit certainly left room for her return as Hayden left her young daughter with her father, Finn, and his fiance Anna, and hightailed it out of town.

We then learned that Hayden wasn’t really in danger and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) just tricked her into leaving town because he feared what she may learn about his dirty dealings. When Hayden learns the truth, she is sure to return to claim her daughter and her life. It’s just a matter of wait and see…
Well, is the wait now over? Budig took to Instagram last night and posted a photo of herself on what looks like a production set with the caption, “Working.” Of course, she didn’t say where she is working and the set does not look like one we recognize from GH but that doesn’t mean a new set hasn’t been built.

Perhaps we see Hayden in Europe where she’s maybe been hiding out. Or maybe she is in a part of Wyndemere we haven’t seen for a while.
Last week, young Jophielle Love, who plays Violet, featured photos on her Instagram page of a reunion with her on-screen parents. She was with Michael Easton (Finn) on the set but with Budig somewhere else, but we are not sure where.
Is Budig back at the GH studios bringing Hayden Barnes to life or is she working on another project? We guess we’ll have to stay tuned to find out. And, hopefully we’ll find out soon. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
