The General Hospital recaps for September 6 – September 10, 2021, feature an amnesiac’s fate being decided for him, villains planning to sabotage a wedding, and so much more.
In observance of Labor Day, a new episode of GH was not aired. Instead, a repeat, originally broadcast on Wednesday, November 18, 2020, was shown. Click here for access to a brief recap.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) ensured that Jason Morgan (Steve Morgan) and his entourage – which consists of Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) – were freed without charge; before departing, Jason commiserated with Dante on the loss of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) visited Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), and made a point of bringing up Ava and Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) impending divorce…Ava had Nikolas served with a restraining order. Ignoring it, an enraged Nikolas demands an explanation from Ava.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) found “Mike” attending to a remolding job instigated by Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton). He reiterated his love for her, and Nina confessed her love for him. They plan on meeting later that night for yet another romantic dinner; on her way out, Nina runs into Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher).
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) agree that Esme is trouble…Trina confronted Esme, questioned her use of Kiki’s given name, and implied that Esme is Ava’s stalker.
Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) ruminated on the latter’s disastrous marriage to AJ Quartermaine, then agreed to bury the hatchet…Jason is perturbed when he returns to the Corinthos compound and Josslyn informs him that Carly is MIA.
TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) wasn’t happy to learn that Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) is still pursuing Hayden Barnes’s (Rebecca Budig) shooter…Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) both get a lead on their respective investigations – Drew Cain’s possibly fatal flight and Naomi Dreyfus’s (Gigi Bermingham) murder. When they, and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) – who’s decided to tag along with Curtis – converge at the same location, intent on interviewing the same man – Roger Barstow – all parties agree that it’s no coincidence.
Curtis, Portia, and Jordan entered Roger Barstow’s house; it’s obvious that a struggle has taken place. While Portia heads outside to try and get a cellular signal, Curtis and Jordan sweep the house; Jordan descends into the basement, discovers Barstow’s body, and receives a blow to the back of the head.
Nikolas is beaten by Ava’s new bodyguards…Ava tended to his wounds; the romantic tension between the two is palpable…Esme strenuously denied Trina’s charge, then leveled one of her own – Trina is sweet on Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), and therefore she’s attempting to find something that will sully Esme’s name.
Jax barged his way into The Tan-o, and, much to Nina’s chagrin, eventually made the acquaintance of “Mike.” Jax proceeds to irritate “Mike” with questions about his past, and by casting aspersions on his romance with Nina; Nina begs “Mike” for a time along with Jax – which she uses to try and dissuade him from revealing the truth.
Portia stumbled upon an unconscious Jordan; they are subsequently imprisoned in the basement – which Portia realizes is filling with gas – by Roger’s assassin…Curtis gives chase to the fleeing baddie…While trying to bring Jordan round, Portia confides that she’s keeping a secret from Trina – and it concerns her, “real father.”
Having ordered Spinelli to track her location, Jason joined Carly at the building site that was once Jake’s. They reminisce about their past, and both admit they can picture loving the other someday in the future; a kiss is shared…Despite Nina’s fervent pleas, Jax refused to keep mum about Sonny’s survival…”Mike” cast his Rolex – the last vestige of his past – into the falls.
Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) briefly loses track of Leo (Easton Rocket Sweda); Austin Holt (Roger Howarth) finds the boy in an exam room; Austin and Ned agreed that Leo may have a developmental disorder, but Ned reveals that Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) is loathed to discuss it.
At Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) urging, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) asks Austin to accompany her to Jason and Carly’s nuptials…Curtis rescued Portia and Jordan and brings them to General Hospital. Portia is given oxygen but appears to be okay. Jordan isn’t fairing nearly as well as she absorbed much more of the gas.
Vincent Novak (Glenn Taranto), Nina Wu (Lydia Look), and, Mr. Buscema (Bart Tangredi) converged on the pier and reaffirmed their plan to cripple the Corinthos Organization via coordinated attacks while Jason and Carly’s wedding plays out…Gladys Corbin’s (Bonnie Burroughs) continued association with Vincent gave Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) pause…
Jax acquiesced to Nina’s plea that she be the one to tell “Mike” his true identity; he threatens to remain in Nixon Falls until the deed is done. Nina readied herself to come clean – but it was Peter August (Wes Ramsey) who returned to The Tan-o, rather than Sonny.
TJ is horrified to learn about his mother’s predicament from Portia. Curtis sits by Jordan’s bedside, and begs her to awaken; she does so. Portia, who’s witnessed the miracle, is obviously put out…Maxie and Brook Lynn disagree over the latter’s handling of Louise; Brook Lynn offers Maxie the opportunity to reclaim her daughter, but Maxie declines.
