The General Hospital recaps for August 23 – August 27, 2021, feature a presumed dead villain making his survival known, an affair outed, a usurper in a wealthy family’s midst, and so much more.

General Hospital Recaps: Monday, August 23

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) encouraged Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) to leave Nixon Falls and return to Port Charles, under the guise of keeping her sister-in-law from running from her problems. Maxie bid Nina adieu, and set off for home…her every move oversaw by a lurking Peter August (Wes Ramsey)!

Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) castigated Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) for agreeing to play snoop for Austin Holt (Roger Howarth); Chase admitted to doing so in order to punish Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait Chase (Katelyn MacMullen) for their affair; Michael and Willow readied themselves to come clean to Chase.

Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) confided her belief that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is alive to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Anna agreed to provide Sam with the WSB file on Drew’s plane crash.

Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) approached Austin and gauged his interest in accepting a cash payoff in exchange for dropping his lawsuit. Austin later treats Leo Falconeri’s finger injury.

Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) revealed that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has targeted Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) for execution. Both are spirited away to an FBI-sanctioned safehouse.

GH Recaps: Tuesday, August 24

Peter is aghast when “Mike” (Maurice Benard) saunters up to him and instigates a conversation. Peter introduced himself to the “stranger” as author Peter Sinclair; the men enter The Tan-o, much to Nina’s consternation.

Drew made the acquaintance of Chloe Jennings (Phoebe Kuhlman), and learned that they were not the only prisoners being held onsite. Chloe agreed to join forces with Drew and plot an escape.

Chase cut Michael and Willow off at the pass when he revealed that he’s been fully aware of their affair for days…Austin arrived with the hope of laying claim to the document revealing that Edward planned to reinstate Jimmy Lee Holt into his will; he and Brook Lynn spar…Chase further stunned Michael and Willow by showing them that he’s regained his mobility.

Maxie insinuated herself into Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) wedding prep…Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) attempted to play Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) against each other in order to get time away from the hospital; the women manage to come together and agree to view the experience as a learning one.

General Hospital Recaps: Wednesday, August 25

Chase handed the much-sought-after document over to Michael and allowed him to decide whether or not to give it to Austin. Despite his distaste over how Austin manipulated Chase into procuring it, and Brook Lynn’s strong objection, Michael does indeed turn it over…Chase and Willow reflect on their tumultuous love affair, and agree to part as friends; she gives back her ring.

Peter drew a gun on Nina – preventing her from doing the same to him. Peter admitted that he’s been desperately searching for Louise, hence his tailing Maxie. They discussed Sonny, his amnesia, and his newfound life as Mike the bartender. Peter then threatened to upend Nina’s world by revealing all to Sonny’s loved ones AND abducting Maxie’s son James, unless Nina assists him in locating his daughter.

During a seemingly benign conversation with Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla), Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) not so subtly staked her claim on Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez). Esme later floated the idea of her and Spencer joining Trina and the rest of his Port Charles circle at PCU – how better to keep their friends close and enemies closer?

Carly and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) attempted to put aside their difference in order to dine with Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton), but their efforts were all for naught.

GH Recaps: Thursday, August 26

Mike” wasn’t at all pleased when he learned that Peter spent the night in the same house as Nina. Nina attempted to out Peter’s true identity to visiting State Trooper Ralph Finchley (Tatum Shank), but he takes no heed of her. In response, Peter threatened to physically harm Sonny and Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy).

Jason asked Michael to be his best man; Michael happily agreed. Opposite this, Josslyn agreed to be Carly’s maid of honor – despite knowing that her decision will anger Jax…Willow agreed with Brook Lynn that Austin was a man not to be trusted…Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) chastised Maxie for her involvement with the Morgan wedding.

General Hospital Recaps: Friday, August 27

Nina reached out to Liesl, revealed that Peter was alive, and well, and menacing her, and begged for intervention. Liesl agreed to eliminate Peter – permanently. To achieve that goal, Liesl instructed Nina to steer Peter in the direction of St. Lucia…the island to which she and Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner) would soon be headed.

Esme and Spencer paid Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) a visit at Spring Ridge; Esme displayed an unhealthy interest in Ryan Chamberlin (Jon Lindstrom)…Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) revealed to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) that she’s setting off for parts unknown.

Jason’s move to kiss Carly was soundly rejected….”Mike” confronted Peter and queried why Nina seemed so irked by him…Maxie told Jax all about Nina’s involvement with “Mike.”
