The General Hospital recap for November 11-15, 2019 features a persistent pest’s apparent elimination, a not-so-paranormal sighting, one heck of a welcome home gift, and some very important questions for the GH fans.
Apparently, in Port Charles, violence IS sometimes the answer. At least, that seems to be the lesson learned by Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) who (seemingly) rid himself of proverbial bad penny Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) with the push of a button.
Well, it was really the bomb planted on the speedboat he provided for her escape that was linked to the pushed button that did the trick but that’s just splitting hairs.
What really matters is that Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) is alive and well and free to bully another budding master chef or talk back to her mother or whatever it is the writers will have her do next.
Over at Jax’s (Ingo Rademacher), Carly (Laura Wright) — channeling her inner Haley Joel Osment — was shocked to see an the apparition of long dead buddy Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). And, possessing a much stronger constitution than Ava (Maura West), she managed to avoid swooning.
What Carly did NOT manage to avoid was the wave of anger that washed over her when she realized that Nik was not a early Christmas Carol-esque specter out to chastise her for her nosy ways but was, instead, the real McCoy back to reclaim his family’s fortune.
And to her great credit, Carly’s first instinct was to phone Laura (Genie Francis) and reveal the truth. She values the relationship that’s budded between them, owing to the fact that they are both mothers who lost children.
But the minute Jax told her that Nik had involved him in some shady shenanigans that could land him in the hoosegow she agreed to keep mum.
Anna (Finola Hughes) is (finally!) back from her months-long sojourn and the last thing she expected to be greeted with was the sight of her fiancée huddled on the couch with his ex-fiancée who was clad only in undergarments and a man’s button up shirt.
She also wasn’t prepared too meet soapdom’s most adorable little girl nor was she ready for the revelation that the fair-haired munchkin would soon become her stepdaughter. Anna loves surprises but this was perhaps one she could have done without, yes?
After much back and forth and pulling and pushing, Dranco (Roger Howarth) finally came to the realization that he is merely memories placed inside another person’s body. Seriously, why did it take him so long to figure this out?
How can attempted rapist Kim (Tamara Braun) STILL think that she is the victim and Julian (William deVry) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) the villains? The writers sure aren’t breaking their backs to allow this character some serious self reflection, are they?

It’s no secret that fans have called for Leslie Charleson to be given more screen time for years but surely some would rather have no Monica than one who actually gives credence to, feeds, and shares Kim’s delusions, right?
Raise your hand if you’re surprised one iota by the inclusion of Carly and Jason (Steve Burton) into two of the shows major storylines. We get it GH, you love them and want them involved in EVERTHING. But did Jason really have to be the one to come in and save the day? Anna would have done just fine on her thank you very much. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
