The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, October 23, 2019, features the starting day of Dranco’s trial, a revelation for Finn, and a homecoming for Donna.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Scotty (Kin Shriner) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) watched Dranco (Roger Howarth) arrive alongside Kim (Tamara) and his lawyer. Both were aghast that Dranco was attired in full military dress — or a Halloween costume as Scotty dubbed it.
Elizabeth said that Dranco did not earn the right to wear it but Martin (Michael E. Knight) disagreed. Dranco thinks he is Drew Cain, therefore, he should be allowed to dress as Drew Cain and carry all of his medals as well.
The judge arrived and the competency hearing got underway. Scotty called Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) to the stand who recounted Franco’s heroic efforts in helping the PCPD smoke out Ryan Chamberlin.
Next, Cameron (Will Lipton) recalled how Franco had taken his place during the hostage crisis and submitted to the memory transfer process. He became emotional when he quoted Franco as saying he would be back for his family.
Martin began to cross-examine Cameron and attempted to paint him as a professional liar — because buying pot for your dying bestie than taking responsibility for it and completing your community service does a career criminal make.
When he continued to berate the young man, Dranco stood up and told his lawyer that it was enough. Dranco also apologized to Cameron for what he went through and assured the boy that nothing that had happened during or since was his fault.
Scotty then called Elizabeth to the stand. She told the judge that she was fighting for her husband whom she promised to be there for through sickness and health. However, when questioned by Martin, Elizabeth admitted to keeping the real Drew Cain’s identity a secret so he wouldn’t leave her. A major win for Franco’s team!
Parenting Woes
At GH, Hayden (Rebecca Budig) admitted to Finn (Michael Easton) that he was about to treat their daughter. Swallowing his anger and hurt, Finn entered the child’s room and made the acquaintance of little Violet (Jophielle Love). Afterward, he demanded to know from Hayden why he was just now meeting his child.
