Setton spoke to Soap Opera Digest about Brook Lynn’s escalating war with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and why she has enjoyed revisiting a side of the character viewers haven’t seen in quite some time. “I am loving what’s going on with Brook Lynn now because I think we’re seeing some peeks of the old Brook Lynn coming back,” she said.
The actress explained that Brook Lynn is more than the loving wife and devoted mother figure fans have gotten used to seeing. “She still has a competitive streak. She still has a possessive streak. She still has her own self-interest in mind.”
Setton added that she was happy to see the writers revisiting that side of BLQ because you wouldn’t want to mess with her.

Setton believes Brook Lynn is acting out of genuine fear, even if her methods leave much to be desired. In Brook Lynn’s mind, Willow is not simply being friendly or supportive. She believes Willow wants Chase, and she’s prepared to fight back.
The actress admitted that Brook Lynn’s current behavior is far from her finest moment. It’s messy, reckless, and probably not something Chase would approve of if he knew the full story.
Still, Setton remains firmly in Brook Lynn’s corner. She described her as someone who has too much to lose and is acting out of desperation rather than malice. She likened her character to a mother bear who is ready to defend her family. She also made it clear that Brook Lynn has reached a point of no return.
