Key Takeaways
- Brook Lynn has had enough of Willow.
- She recruited Lucy to help get rid of her husband’s ex.
- They are setting up Willow to take the blame for leaving the scene of the accident.
- Brook Lynn may have been the one who left.
- Their entire plan could backfire, pushing Chase toward Willow.
Brook Lynn’s Evil Plan
Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) has finally become aware that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) is after her husband. Chase (Josh Swickard) is constantly falling for his ex’s “poor me” act and coming to her rescue, and his wife has had enough. She tried confronting Willow, but realized that wasn’t the way to put an end to her behavior.
She decided to call in Lucy (Lynn Herring) to brainstorm ways to keep Willow out of her marriage (was Lucy really the best choice?). After some discussion, they decided to make Willow appear to be the culprit in leaving the scene of Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and Curtis’s (Donnell Turner) car accident. Chase will surely disapprove of this behavior, and he will wash his hands of Willow forever.
Sounds like a plan. Or does it?
Lucy & BLQ or Lucy & Ethel?
Brook Lynn is on the cusp of having all her dreams come true. She has a happy marriage, and they are about to adopt baby Phoebe. Granted, Willow is definitely becoming more and more of a problem, but this plan may not be the way to deal with it.
Chase will be appalled by whoever left the scene of the accident, but it wasn’t Willow. In reality, it may have been Brook Lynn. If she tries to pin it on the congresswoman, the truth could come out. The whole truth, including the fact that she and Tracy (Jane Elliot) tried to cover it up. The entire plan could backfire on her, and she could lose it all.
All of this may push Chase away and straight into Willow’s arms, which is exactly what the congresswoman wants. What do you think of Brook Lynn’s plan? Is it a good idea or doomed to fail?
