Days of our Lives spoilers for Monday, December 2, prove that every dark cloud has a silver lining. All of Salem is mourning Doug, but look at the familiar faces who are back to celebrate his life and legacy!
Tell Me About It
All the Horton, Brady, DiMera, and Johnson long-timers have known Doug (Bill Hayes) for years, but relative newcomers like Lani (Sal Stowers) could use a history lesson. That’s where Eli (Lamon Archey) comes in. Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) filled her grandson in on her grand, sweeping love story with Doug, and now he shares it with his wife — and us.

Reunited and it Feels So Good
Get psyched for multiple family reunions! Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) catches up with her brother, Lucas (Bryan Dattilo), and then they both reconnect with Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal). At the same time, Julie can’t believe it when she sees her brother, Ben (Stephen Schnetzer), lurking outside her window. It’s been so long since all these beloved faces were in Salem together!
Ghost of Triangles Past
There’s a lot less love to go around at Marlena’s (Deidre Hall). Ok, buckle up your seatbelts. This is going to get complicated: Once upon a time, before she was married to either Roman (Josh Taylor) or John (Drake Hogestyn), Marlena had a husband named Don (Jed Allen) — fun fact: Don was once engaged to Julie before she dumped him once Doug became available again.
When Marlena and Don’s infant son died, Don blamed Marlena, which led to his affair with Liz (Gloria Loring, who, these days, is better known as singer Robin Thicke’s mom). After her relationship with Don fell apart, Liz had an affair with Neil (Joe Gallison), who was married to Julie’s Aunt Marie (Maree Cheatham), a former nun. Now, both Liz and Marie are back in town. Their reunion is…less warm.
