Holly (Ashley Puzemis) has used drugs in the past. And she’s lied about it, too. Tate (Leo Howard) was sent to juvenile hall because she was protecting herself. So we can see why he doesn’t trust her on that score anymore.
As for Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), she’s still feeling so guilty about Destiny’s death that she’s terrified Holly may be the next casualty. She’s not thinking straight, either.
Holly Pokes Holes in the Case Against Her
Holly, quite reasonably, pointed out that she hadn’t packed the bag Tate found the pills in. Bonnie (Judi Evans) put it together, and Xander (Paul Telfer) brought it. Sure, Holly doesn’t think either one of them is trying to get her into trouble.
But there are tons of staff at Maggie’s (Suzanne Rogers) house who might have stashed their drugs in any empty bag, not to mention that anyone at the hospital could have dropped something into a patient’s bag to cover up their own habit.
The Obvious Solution Everyone Is Missing
But the easiest thing Holly can do is simply offer to come in for daily blood tests. Since she is not, in fact, taking drugs, and since she isn’t addicted, she should have no trouble staying away from them, and blood tests will prove that.
Why has no one suggested this? And why, if Sarah is so concerned about her niece’s supposed drug habit, was her first instinct to… drug her?
