The future of Salem supercouple Lani Price Grant and Eli Grant hangs in the balance after Eli is shot in the line of duty. DAYS spoilers weekly video preview explores the tragic sequence of events and reveals the person responsible for Eli’s fight to survive.
Here’s your Days of our Lives spoilers video preview for the week of March 14 – March 18, 2021. It’s powerfully dramatic and downright heartbreaking. So grab your tissue box and give it a look.
Lani (Sal Stowers) rushes to the scene after receiving word that an officer is down. To her horror, she sees her beloved husband, Eli (Lamon Archey), lying on the ground in a puddle of blood.
Meanwhile, Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) calls for help over the police radio. Paramedics are quickly dispensed to the scene. They lift Eli onto a stretcher and rush him to the hospital in an ambulance, as a distraught Lani tags along.
The action backtracks to the moments leading to Eli’s shooting. He’s having a nasty spat with his father-in-law TR Coates (William Christian), who warns Eli, “Get your hands off of me.”
Things continue to move backward. At one point, TR points a gun at Eli, and a struggle ensues between the two men. Then, things flash back to Eli confronting TR about his past as an abuser and clearly gets a response he doesn’t approve of. “Is that what you told Beth (Donielle Artese, who’s playing TR’s ex-girlfriend) and Paulina (Jackée Harry) before you beat them?” asks Eli.
Finally, Eli lies lifeless on the ground. A voice, likely of a paramedic on the scene, reports that the victim has been shot in the head. Then there’s another shot of Eli on a stretcher, his head bandaged and oozing blood.
Eli ends up at the hospital, where a distraught Lani receives support from Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Eli’s mother Valerie Grant (Vanessa Williams). Tensions are high when TR shows up and blurts out, “I had nothing to do with this.” A suspicious Abe isn’t quite buying it.
Meanwhile, Eli is rushed into surgery, while Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) sobs and Paulina comforts Lani. Later Lani and Valerie are in Eli’s hospital room when he suddenly starts convulsing. Things end with Valerie sitting by her son’s bedside. “Please Eli, come back to me,” she pleads. Sadly, it looks like it could be too late for the Salem hero. See it all for yourself in the video below.
