Fans are in for a devil of a time, as DAYS spoilers reveal that the soap resurrects the possession story that made headlines in the ‘90s. Plus, the show’s newly released fall preview reveals some explosive twists (someone was a killer for hire), surprise couples reuniting (hello, EJ and Nicole), and the possible return of an abducted heroine (yes, Sarah).
Here’s your Days of our Lives spoilers fall preview for the week of September 20 – September 24, 2021, and beyond. It’s a must-watch and chock-full of more twists and turns than a roller coaster.
“So what should we do this fall season?” asks Kayla Brady Johnson, kicking off the preview. Apparently, the plan is romance and lots of it. Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) share a steamy kiss before he carries her off to bed. Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) makes Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) an offer: “Say the word and I will romance the hell out of you.” That’s followed by more lip-locking between Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal), Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison) and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams).
The focus shifts to the new Salem man about town, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), who does some heavy flirting with Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) “Prepare to be wooed,” he tells her, as Chanel smiles in anticipation. Seconds later, Johnny is playing his guitar and serenading Chanel with a special song.
Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) are on a picnic in the park, when Philip opens up his heart. “I would do anything for you. You know that,” he tells her. Later, at the Kiriakis mansion, Chloe’s sitting on the sofa, when Philip walks in with a huge gift-wrapped box for her.
“My aunt and my dad are getting married,” toasts Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers), clinking champagne glasses with Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), Paulina Price (Jackée Harry), and Abe Carver (James Reynolds). Then Paulina comes out in her gown and announces, “Let’s get this show on the road to Lani and Chanel, who ends up getting her feelings hurt. “You asked Lani to be your maid of honor?” she asks her mother, incredulously. Nevertheless, the wedding begins and “Big Mama” Olivia Price (Marla Gibbs) is in attendance.
There are some confrontations and big surprises, too. Philip sucker punches Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) as Chloe gasps in horror. And Philip delivers some shocking news to Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus): “Your boyfriend was a hitman.” Meanwhile, Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) is pointing a gun at someone. But who?
Nicole Walker’s (Arianne Zucker) is in the middle of some action, too. She and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) “connect” – yes, that kind of connect – on a desk at the Basic Black offices, before another man enters the picture: EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). “Are you seriously asking me out on a date?” she says stunned, only to later be pulled into a tender kiss by him.
Lucas Horton (Bryan Datillo) and EJ get into a verbal sparring match. “You smug son of a bitch,” spats Lucas. “You loser,” retorts EJ. Meanwhile, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) are in a predicament of some sort. Xander puts his hand over Jack’s mouth, insisting he stay quiet.
Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) apparently has a change of heart about fatherhood. Alone with Ciara (Victoria Konefal), he tells her, “So let’s do this. Let’s make a baby.” There’s no time like the present, so the couple heads to bed.
A demonic turn ensues when Doug Williams’s (Bill Hayes) eyes glow yellow, and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) asks her longtime friend, “Are you all right, Marlena (Deidre Hall)? Later, a worried John Black (Drake Hogestyn) knocks on his bedroom door and asks, “Doc, are you okay in there?” Apparently, not, because she’s levitating again, just like she did back in the 1990s when she was possessed by Satan.
The fall preview ends on a happy note for fans, but not so much for Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien). “Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) trapped on some remote island,” shares Xander with his new lover. “I’m going to rescue her.”
Finally, there’s an appearance from a long-absent Salemite. “Could this day get any better?” chuckles Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), seated in a chair in the Kiriakis living room. One thing’s for sure, this fall preview absolutely couldn’t. See it all for yourself below!
