The DAYS spoilers for Monday, August 1, 2022, tease a surprising request, the waiting game, and much more. You won’t want to miss a minute of this all-new episode.
Milo Harp, alias Orpheus (George DelHoyo), has made it his life’s mission to torture John Black (Drake Hogestyn) — which really doesn’t make any sense since it was actually Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) who accidentally shot and killed Orpheus’s wife and not John even though for a time John was presumed to be Roman; yeah, it was as weird then as it is now — and Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) has always suffered because of it.
First, Orpheus shot her with a dart gun to merely scare John into believing her dead. Then, he faked Marlena’s death and spirited her away to an island with the expressed purpose of having her raise his children for him. And then there was something about faking her death for a second time while handing her over to Stefano DiMera…or something.

Now, Orpheus has a favor to ask of ole Mar Mar, and he’s hoping that she’ll grant it for old times’ sake. We say don’t expect miracles, Orpheus! Meanwhile, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) warns John they need to take drastic action against Orpheus.
Speaking of one of those kids that Marlena helped raise belonging to Orpheus (GREAT job, by the way…ugh), it all comes down to a test. A paternity test, that is. Either that child Christian Maddox, AKA Evan Frears (Brock Kelly) or Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), is the father of Shawn Christian, and soon they’ll know for sure. Who wants to start taking bets?
Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) has been having a Devil of a time getting over the slaughter of his beloved Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller), but it’s never occurred to him until now that perhaps his children are having a hard time as well. Look for him to finally attempt to bond with the wee ones and check on how they’re doing.
