Days of our Lives — The Week Ahead

News of Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) and Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) engagement spreads through Salem, and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) are some of the first to help the happy couple celebrate. Lani is excited for her father, but the happiness won’t continue for long if Paulina’s secret rears its ugly head.

Unbeknownst to many, the Devil’s control over Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) is growing stronger. He is forcing Marlena to do his bidding for him. After a visit with MarDevil, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) is convinced that starting a family with Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) is the right thing to do. Ciara is thrilled. When Marlena comes to, she is horrified at learning what evil plans the Devil has concocted.

Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) film is gaining traction, as he convinces more friends and family to agree to be a part of the flick. Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller) already agreed to be a star in the show and she practices her lines by re-enacting a romantic love scene between John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena, with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). Meanwhile, Johnny is still urging Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) to take on a role in his movie. Will she oblige?

Abe’s proposal went exactly how he wanted…eventually. Paulina said yes to the ring, the man, and the marriage. Abe was sure his future was coming together. Unfortunately, Paulina’s secret ate away at her.

It seems Jake DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) mobster past is deeper than previously thought. He supposedly murdered a man and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) has the proof. She gave it to Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson), who used it to blackmail Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus). Sign over GabiChic or your boyfriend goes to jail!

Coming out of jail were Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) and Xander Cook (Paul Telfer). Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) managed to get the judge on a recording making a deal to free Xander in exchange for sex. Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) used the tape to blackmail Judge Smails (Richard Steinmetz). The joke was on him, though. Smails turned the tables and Justin was charged with blackmail and Gwen’s going down for solicitation.
