The DAYS spoilers recap for Thursday, July 7, 2022, features literal oars to the head and metaphorical knives to the heart. Why you got to be so brutal, Salem?!
Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison) is hard to pin down. One minute she’s an unrepentant hussy practically proud of her adulterous actions, and the next she’s mourning the marriage that she probably ruined.
And though she’s still mighty peeved at Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) when he leaves her a cryptic voicemail – something about going on a mission from whence he might not return – she springs into action and tracks him down at the docks.
There, she finds her hubs knocked unconscious and his attacker, Jan Spears (Heather Lindell), waxing lyrically about forcing him into a life on the run and watching her nurse their babe. Yeah, it’s all a little weird, but that’s Jan.
Belle refused to let her rival get a move on, and when Jan went on the attack, Belle emerged as the victor. But where did Jan, last seen tumbling into the Salem River, wind up?
For a brief moment, things were looking up for Clyde Weston (James Read). Granted he’d been arrested, but his story about purchasing Abigail Deveraux DiMera’s (Marci Miller) bracelet from a person unknown was holding water. Even Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) had to admit that Clyde didn’t have a motive to want the young woman dead.
Enter EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), who informed Rafe and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) that Clyde was not only responsible for his shooting lo those many years ago but that he’d also threatened to harm EJ’s nearest and dearest should he rat him out. Oh, and let’s not forget that Clyde has form when it comes to having people stabbed; Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) anyone?
Christian Maddox, AKA Evan Frears (Brock Kelly), has never been the brightest bulb in the chandelier, and Milo Harp, alias Orpheus (George DelHoyo), rightfully has plans himself. Hopefully, he’s managed to get it through his son’s thick skull that playing the long game is the best way to go, especially if Chrisitan hopes to one day be reunited with his son(s).
Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) appreciates her mother’s ability to see the best in everyone, but Nancy Wesley’s (Patrika Darbo) blind spot where Clyde is concerned concerns her. That being said, Nancy does have a point. If Clyde’s telling the truth – and yea, it’s a big if – then all he’s got to do is finger (again, metaphorically) the man from whom he acquired Abigail’s bracelet. Be afraid, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart). Be very afraid.
