The Days of our Lives recaps for July 31 – August 4, 2023, feature “I dos”, a “Hell no”, a lot of pleases, not enough thank-yous, and so much more.
Leo (Greg Rikaart) thinks better of objecting to Gwen’s (Emily O’Brien) and Dimitri’s (Peter Porte) wedding…. Stefan (Brandon Barash) and Gabi (Camila Banus) and Gwen and Dimitri are declared husband and wife…. Rafe (Galen Gering) and Jada (Elia Cantu) skip out on the wedding reception in order to go back to her abode.
Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) pockets the page detailing that EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) is no DNA match to Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) baby, then hands Nicole the rest of the test results and lies about how she came into possession of them in the first place…. Eric (Greg Vaughan) tells Sami (via phone call) and Roman (Josh Taylor) and Kate (Lauren Koslow) that he and Sloan are expecting. Roman is seriously put out by the news.
Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) is awarded full custody of Rachel (Finley Rose Slater)…. Paulina (Jackée Harry) pulls out all the stops for Abe’s (James Reynolds) homecoming…. Despite his multitude of reservations, Theo (Cameron Johnson) bids Abe adieu in order to return to Johannesburg…. Steve (Stephen Nichols) and John (Drake Hogestyn) call on Abe…. Marlena (Deidre Hall) preached to Paulina that patience is a virtue.
When Paulina attempts to get amorous, Abe summons Steve and asks him to provide him shelter…. Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Talia (Aketra Sevillian) reestablish their friendship…. Wendy (Victoria Grace) warns a clearly smitten Li (Remington Hoffman) against putting his trust in Melinda (Tina Huang)…. Tripp (Lucas Adams) books him and Wendy a room at the Salem Inn…. Sloan very nearly confides her secret to Melinda…. Eric learns that Sloan came into possession of Nicole’s test results and puts her on the spot.
Crafty Melinda begins to put two and two together…. Eric’s lackluster proposal earns him Sloan’s ire…. Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) offers Harris (Steve Burton) forgiveness and hope…. Chad (Billy Flynn) puts Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) on notice…. Roman grouses about Eric’s choice of “baby mama.” Kate confesses that she attempted to persuade Harris to kill Megan (Miranda Wilson). Roman quells any worries that Kate may have about the depths of his love for her.
Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) encourages Xander (Paul Telfer) to make peace with Victor once he returns from visiting with a still comatose Bo. Despite himself, Xander is put out to hear that Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) is dating Rex (Kyle Lowder) [or “dating” as the case may be]. Xander pops the question to Chloe…. Nicole is chagrined to learn that Eric intends to propose to Sloan…. Sloan confides all to Melinda.
Wendy shares with Li the romantic night for her and Tripp that wasn’t. Opposite, Tripp tends to a hungover Leo who really rather wrecked a potentially beautiful evening…. Dimitri calls on Leo and the two make love. Gwen arrives at Leo’s door.
