Days of our Lives Recaps: Monday, July 17
Despite her best efforts Lani (Sal Stowers) fails to get through to Abe (James Reynolds). Whitley (Kim Coles) stymies Lani’s attempts to leave the apartment with her father and winds up drugging the young woman into unconsciousness…. Steve (Stephen Nichols) and John (Drake Hogestyn) uncover Jerry Prentiss’s (Terrell Ransom Jr.) means of escape — bus — but not his exact destination.
Having come upon Brady (Eric Martsolf) threatening Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) with a gun, Rachel (Finley Rose Slater) sics the authorities [represented by Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu)] on him…. Paulina (Jackée Harry) informs Rafe (Galen Gering) that Lani is M.I.A. Rafe resolves to find Lani and return her to D.C. before the warden gets wise.
DAYS Recaps: Tuesday, July 18
Brady is arrested and Melinda (Tina Huang) insists on throwing the book at him…. Gabi (Camila Banus) pulls a gun on Li (Remington Hoffman). Li manages to convince Gabi that he’s no longer a threat to her and Stefan (Brandon Barash)…. Kristen rumbles Dimitri’s (Peter Porte) subterfuge…. Leo (Greg Rikaart) encourages a doubtful Gwen (Emily O’Brien) to follow through with marrying Dimitri…. Li and Melinda are set up on a blind date.

Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) makes a nuisance of himself, much to Chad’s (Billy Flynn) and Stephanie’s (Abigail Klein) chagrin…. Bonnie (Judi Evans) barely manages to keep mum about Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) mommy-to-be status…. Xander (Paul Telfer) and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) bask in each other’s company and ring in the three-month anniversary of Dartgate…. Melinda and Li manage to have a grand ole time with one another.

Eric (Greg Vaughan) and Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) learn that they are expecting…. Johnny (Carson Boatman) fills Rafe (Galen Gering) in on Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) business…. Rafe fills Jada (Elia Cantu) in on Lani’s seeming flight from justice…. Johnny puts Talia (Aketra Sevillian) on notice…. Wendy (Victoria Grace) and Tripp (Lucas Adams) put a moratorium on passion — for the time being…. EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) works to soothe Nicole’s concerns over her pregnancy.

Marlena (Deidre Hall) suddenly recalls that Nurse King was a patient of hers…at a very inopportune moment in both of their lives [Marlena was possessed by the Devil, and Whitley had just lost her husband]…. In sharing the truth about Philip, Kate (Lauren Koslow) inadvertently gives Paulina the hope that she s desperately needs…. John and Steve get their hands on Jerry…. Whitley injects Lani with a potentially deadly agent and leaves her body on the docks.
