A new actress has been tapped to appear in an old familiar role, and a vile villain is heading back to Days of our Lives. Here’s the soap’s casting news for the week of November 9-13.
The Week of November 9, 2026
Eight months after announcing the hiring of Sofia Mattsson, the actress’ DAYS character has finally been revealed. Mattsson, who previously portrayed Sasha Gilmore on General Hospital, will be playing Chloe Lane. The news was disclosed via a fall-winter preview recently released by the soap. Mattsson was signed to take over the popular role after Nadia Bjorlin, who currently resides in Europe, declined a request to return to the soap.
Also heading back to the soap is George DelHoyo as the nefarious Orpheus. The character’s return was also revealed via the above-mentioned preview. Once again, he’ll be tormenting longtime heroine Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) as well as other Salemites.
Thaao Penghlis and Leann Hunley continue their visit as Tony and Anna DiMera—the duo airs on Monday, November 9. Penghlis also shares scenes with Dan Feuerriegel’s EJ on Thursday, November 12. (Did you know that Penghlis once had tea with former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy?)
Sal Stowers gets prominent screen time as Lani Price Grant. Look for Lani to cover for a friend on Monday, November 9. She also interacts with Tyler Joseph Andrews’ Theo on Wednesday, November 11, and delivers troubling news to Paul Telfer’s Xander on Friday, November 13. Check out Stowers’ thoughts on the long road that led her back to DAYS.
Lorelei Olivia Mote returns as Rachel Black. The girl opens up to her father, Brady (Eric Martsolf), on Tuesday, November 10.
Maggie Carney is back as Rita Lesley. The character picks a side as the tension escalates between the DiMeras on Friday, November 13.
Shi Ne Nielsen makes another appearance as Amy Choi, Sophia’s (Rachel Boyd) mother. She interacts with Ashley Puzemis’ Holly, who questions her about her daughter.
