In Laws: Should Jack and Jennifer Stick Around Days of our Lives?

Jack Deveraux got quite the birthday surprise on Days of our Lives, didn’t he? Instead of daughter Abigail Deveraux DiMera flying up with her two tots, Thomas and Charlotte, to visit him and blow out some candles, Jack and his wife, Jennifer Horton Deveraux, were hit with a massive blow, learning that Abigail’s life had been snuffed out.

So now Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Cady McClain) are in Salem, trying to support Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and the kids. Should this visit turn into a permanent stay?

DAYS Instability

Slightly more than half of you, 51%, definitely think that Jack and Jennifer should stick around at least until Chad is more stable, and up to taking care of Thomas and Charlotte full-time. Since that was something he didn’t appear capable of before, we suspect that could take a while. It takes a village, you know.

Chad cannot take care of those children alone, a slightly smaller 46% of the audience is certain. He and Abigail didn’t realize that Thomas was wandering around in the tunnels between the DiMera mansion, making friends with the Tooth Fairy, AKA Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart). If that’s the kind of oversight Thomas was getting when he had two parents, single parenting is beyond Chad’s capabilities. He needs his in-laws there to supervise!

Needy Child

Chad doesn’t need Jack and Jennifer as much as their other child, JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) does, according to a tiny 3%. He’s been away from Salem for years, and he doesn’t seem to be doing well. His mommy and daddy should move closer to him and set JJ back on the straight and narrow. Abigail (Marci Miller) is dead. There is nothing they can do for her now. JJ is the child they should focus on. It’s the child where their intervention might actually do some good.
